Sera
Fenris didn’t move.
Yvara’s words hung in the heavy, heated air of the den, but he completely ignored her. He kept his massive weight pressed flush against me, trapping me against the edge of the heavy oak desk. His hand was still buried inside my torn pants. Two of his thick fingers were still buried deep inside my wet core.
He slowly turned his head away from the door and looked back down at me. His chest was heaving. His pale grey eyes were entirely swallowed by blown, pitch-black pupils.
I stopped breathing. For a split second, I actually thought he was going to tell his second-in-command to get the fuck out and finish what he started right in front of her. The sheer, predatory dominance radiating off him made my skin burn.
Instead, Fenris closed his eyes. He let out a harsh, jagged breath through his nose. The muscle in his jaw flexed so hard I thought his teeth were going to crack.
He slowly pulled his hand out of my pants.
The wet, slick sound of his fingers sliding out of my body echoed loudly in the quiet room. A sharp, desperate whine caught in the back of my throat. I hated the sudden emptiness. I clamped my thighs together purely on instinct.
Fenris stepped back. He wiped his shining fingers on a cloth resting on the desk. He didn't look at Yvara. He looked down at my pants. The thick leather laces on the sides were completely snapped. The front gaped open, hanging precariously off my hips.
He reached across the desk, grabbed a thin spool of heavy black twine he used for fletching arrows, and tossed it to me.
"Fix your pants," Fenris said. His voice was a deep, violently restrained growl.
He turned around and finally looked at Yvara. He aggressively buckled his own belt, the heavy metal clasp hitting the leather with a loud snap. "What is it?"
Yvara didn't bat an eye at his tone. She uncrossed her arms. "The Valdris caravan arrived. Your future father-in-law sent the dowry. And the Queen is currently throwing a massive fit in the center of the Great Hall."
Fenris ran a heavy hand through his dark, messy hair. He looked back at me. I was frantically threading the twine through the metal eyelets of my leather pants, tying a tight knot at my hip so they wouldn't fall down to my knees.
