Hearing Luke’s words, Laila and Samuel could not help but exchange a glance.

Laila smiled. “Where is Her Highness? Why doesn’t she bring the money herself?”

Luke said, “Her Highness caught a cold and isn’t feeling well. She’s resting now.”

“Mm.” Samuel nodded, then signaled for Luke to hand the box to Laila. “Give this back to her. I’m her brother; she doesn’t need to pay to stay here. Besides, I’m not lacking money.

“Tell her to keep it and spend it however she wants.”

Laila did not delay. She took the box and walked straight toward Morgana’s place.

When she entered the room, Gracie was tucking Morgana in.

The girl’s cheeks were flushed, and she looked like she had a fever.

“I don’t want the blanket! I feel so bad!” Morgana kicked at it, her lips puffed in protest.

Gracie looked helpless and could only coax her gently. “Your Highness, you’re sick. You need to stay warm.”

Morgana kicked even harder. “I don’t want to! I don’t want to! You’re so annoying!”

Gracie did not dare force her, and the blanket was soon kicked away again.

Laila shook her head at the scene. She walked over, her expression firm. “If you’re sick, behave. Keep the blanket on.”

She bent down, picked it up, and wrapped it securely around Morgana again.

Morgana pouted, but this time she did not kick it away.

How could she dare? Laila was intimidating when she got serious.
