Chapter 195 Most Precious
Third–person POV:
Irene looked at Laila, then at the five fading figures, and at last she could not stop her tears.
This necklace was truly unique. There would never be another like it.
Those five men were already gone…
She covered her mouth, yet her sobs still slipped out.

Martha was crying too. “At least after everything that happened, the necklace returned to Laila. It was meant to be the wedding gift her mom prepared for her… Isn’t that incredible? Just before she marries Prince Vance, it came back.”
Her voice trembled. “Maybe it isn’t coincidence at all. Maybe it’s her mom… Maybe she is the one sending it back from somewhere beyond.”
Laila also felt that perhaps it truly was her mother’s will that guided this most precious gift back to her.
Five sapphires, and five drops of blood.
Five brothers…
For the first time, she felt a faint sense of anticipation about marrying Prince Vance.
She never expected him to love her. He already held someone in his heart. Even if he did not, she understood that chasing a man’s affection always meant giving far more than she would ever receive.
What she believed instead was that after marrying him, life might become what her mother once described.
Stable.
Because her brothers were still here.
By then, everything would be peaceful.
Yet the rumors outside did not fade. They simply found a new target.
Before, people whispered about Laila. Now the talk turned to Jenna and even to the Frostfang Pack’s Luna, Princess Estelle.
In the past, no one dared to gossip about Estelle, and there was little to say anyway. The image she presented to the world was always graceful and noble, except for the stories about her chasing after Kain when she was young. But people simply laughed it off as youthful foolishness.
Now things had changed.
After Laila attended that birthday banquet, someone truly went digging into the breeder she–wolves kept

by Hugo.

The results shocked everyone. Out of more than twenty breeder Omegas, only a handful were still alive, and those survivors almost never appeared in public.
That discovery set everything ablaze.
Some claimed those breeders had all died by Estelle’s hand because she hated sharing Hugo’s affection.
Others argued that could not be true. In the Rydar Kingdom, an Alpha could not purchase breeder she- wolves without the Luna’s approval. If Estelle truly despised them, she would never have allowed it from
the start.
Then a third theory spread that she agreed at first but regretted it later.
Soon rumors flew everywhere.
Estelle’s reputation plummeted.
The noble families began to distance themselves from her. Tea gatherings that had already been arranged were suddenly canceled because someone felt “unwell,” replies to her invitations turned into vague promises to check schedules, and then silence. Even Lunas who once chatted warmly with her now only nodded politely and hurried away without stopping.
Her head throbbed from the pressure. She spent her time suppressing the rumors and handling another problem, leaving her with no chance to deal with Laila for the moment.
Jenna, meanwhile, was furious.
She had stayed at her mother’s home for several days, yet the people from Blackrock Pack still had not come to bring her back.
Not only did they fail to come, they even went to Silvermoon Pack to apologize to Laila.
Damn it.
She had not even done it.
It was all Margaret’s fault. If she had not stirred up trouble, things between her and the Alpha would not have become so strained.
Why won’t she just die already?
And Laila, that hypocritical woman. She must have said something, otherwise how would Samson suddenly come looking for me?
Jenna clenched her fists until her nails dug into her palms.
Just wait.
This matter is far from finished.
