Morgana walked over reluctantly, making sure to keep her distance from Estelle.

“There’s a new investment opportunity with a very high return. Do you want to make some money together?”

“Is it even reliable?” Morgana muttered. “The last few investments I gave you money for didn’t make a dime.”

“Business always has ups and downs. We were just unlucky before. Don’t worry, this time is different.”

Estelle’s smile didn’t move at all. “You don’t trust me?”

“Of course I trust you.”

Morgana had wanted to say no. But when she looked into Estelle’s eyes, the words just wouldn’t

come out.

She closed her eyes helplessly.

Morgana’s eyes widened. She jumped to her feet.

“Oh no! I was so busy watching Estelle argue with Vaughn that I forgot to ask him to stop Samuel and Laila’s marriage!”

She began pacing nervously. “Samuel even went to visit her mentor. Damn it! If they really become mates, I won’t have any chance at all. I have to stop this. I need to see Vaughn!”

She rushed toward the door, but Gracie quickly stopped her.

“Princess Morgana, it’s very late. His Majesty must already be resting. You should talk to him

tomorrow.”

It really was late. Morgana hesitated, then nodded. “Fine. Wake me up early tomorrow. I want to see Vaughn right away.”

“Yes, Princess Morgana.”

The next morning, before the mist had even cleared, the dining hall of Silvermoon Pack was already filled with the smell of fresh bread and smoked bacon.
