Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time novel Chapter 703

Chapter 703

Once the truth sank in, panic washed all over him right away.

“How could you develop a crush on her? Jimmy, do you truly know what she’s really like? She-”

Jimmy cut him off before he could finish his words with a calm and firm tone. “I know everything. Honestly, I understand her way better than both of you do.”

He fully got why his two friends were so shocked. “I have a hunch there’s a huge misunderstanding behind all the bad things you’ve heard about her.”

Jimmy trusted Maggie’s character wholeheartedly and chose to believe his own judgment from daily interactions.

To his mind, Maggie was sincere and genuine deep down.

Besides, if she actually had serious flaws, his dad, Reed, Quaid, and Ryan would never hold such high opinions of her in the first place.

From Yves‘ perspective, there was no way those were just misunderstandings.

In his view, Maggie kept picking on Julia nonstop, and now she even messed around with Julia’s boyfriend.

To Yves, Maggie was nothing more than a two–faced woman who acted gentle on the surface yet had terrible morals, chasing thrills and messing up romantic relationships without hesitation.

He feared Jimmy would keep getting fooled by Maggie’s fake outward appearance.

“That’s not even the worst part of her behavior.” Yves said anxiously, “You don’t realize how different she acts in private, and her dating history is such a mess. Earlier, Rex and I saw Franklin-”

Just as critical words were about to come out, another guest stepped forward and interrupted their private chat.

Yves was forced to hold back his remaining words.

Jimmy fell shocked bearing Yves harsh comments against Maggie.

Yves nodded repeatedly in agreement right beside him.

Jimmy stayed silent without offering a reply.

The guest who’d come over to find them noticed the tense atmosphere between the three young men and paused awkwardly. “It seems like I showed up at a bad time?”

“Not at all.” Jimmy put on a polite, forced smile. “What brings you over?”

Yves placed one hand over his chest and leaned close to Rex, whispering quietly. “I was just about to say the most important part and then got cut off. This is so frustrating.”

Rex was in a terrible mood and chose not to respond to his complaint.

After a short pause, Yves glanced toward Maggie’s spot across the venue, a confused look crossing his face. “One thing really bugs me, though. Why did Jimmy mention that Maggie is already married?”
