The crew members all instinctively looked toward Serena.
Anyone could tell that despite The Sterling Sovereign's lazy tone, his words carried a distinct note of dissatisfaction at being neglected for so long.
A slow smile curled Serena's crimson lips.
She didn't answer. Instead, she took her time, letting her heels click rhythmically until she stood right in front of Nicholas.
Then, she naturally reached out her hand to him.
Nicholas lowered his gaze, glancing at the slender fingers offered to him, and a faint smirk graced his lips.
He took her hand and pulled her gently toward his chest.
Right in front of everyone in the suite, Serena used his momentum to gracefully perch herself sideways on his lap.
Her black skirt fanned out over his dark suit.
It looked like a blooming black datura flower, radiating a dangerously lethal allure.
The crew members in the room stared in stunned silence.
Serena acted as if they were the only two people in the room, wrapping her arms intimately around Nicholas's neck.
She leaned her pale, delicate face close to his, her crimson lips forming a breathtaking, seductive smile. "My Patron, did you wait long?"
Nicholas rested a hand on her waist, gazing down at her with a calm expression. "Making your Patron wait this long, Ms. Panacea, it seems you aren't very dedicated to your role."
"How could you say that?" Serena's smile grew even more radiant. She dragged one hand slowly up his suit collar, her slender fingers gently tracing the flawless contours of his face in an intimate caress. "I am a pharmacist, and I was doing a pharmacist's job. How is that lacking dedication?"
Her thumb lightly grazed his jawline, her voice dripping with a lazy, teasing lilt. "Besides..."
"I told you I was going to make my Patron very happy. Naturally, I had to put in a little extra effort."
The entire display was dripping with intoxicating chemistry.
Nicholas caught her restless hand, bringing it to his lips to press a soft kiss against her skin.
The intimate gesture had the surrounding crew members quickly averting their eyes.
They stared rigidly at the floor, trying their hardest to blend into the background.
