Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! novel Chapter 1621

...

Serena walked away from the side corridor, the rhythmic click of her heels entirely unhurried.

Her stunning, brooding face was painted with an expression of deep impatience and annoyance.

It was as if those foolish Hunters had completely ruined her mood, killing any desire she had for Redefining the Arsenal.

She simply carried her medical kit and headed straight for The Med-Tech Quarantine.

But right as she reached the intersection leading to the quarantine zone, her long lashes fluttered slightly.

At the very top of the hallway.

The patrol indicator light, which had previously been flashing red, had quietly turned white.

The White Protocol Signal only stayed on for exactly three minutes.

Which meant...

Someone had cleared a safe path for her.

The fainest hint of a smirk touched Serena's red lips.

It seemed Fenris finally had news.

She raised a hand, casually tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

From the corner of her eye, she scanned the area behind her...

Back there, two security guards assigned by Nicholas were covertly keeping watch over her.

Because they worked for Nicholas, they had been specifically ordered to protect her from the shadows.

However...

Beyond Nicholas's men, near a distant corner, a shadow-cloaked figure hesitated the moment she stopped walking.

She caught a fleeting glimpse of that shadow from her periphery.

That wasn't one of Nicholas's guards.

And it certainly didn't move like the ship's standard security.

Serena lazily narrowed her eyes, a flash of pure ice sweeping through her gaze.

It seemed The Grinning Wraith was right.

Those idiots weren't the only ones tracking her tonight.

Not wanting to alert her tail, Serena simply turned the corner toward The Med-Tech Quarantine.

Within moments, she arrived at her destination.

Without another word, Serena strode straight toward the deepest lab in The Med-Tech Quarantine.

Once the door was securely shut.

She placed her medical kit on the workstation, tapping it lightly with her fingertips.

In the brief moment it took to unlatch the case.

She had already sussed out that there was a highly concealed security camera tucked into the corner of the lab.

She knew perfectly well that the ship's operators would never provide a truly private space.

Serena smirked, a dangerous chill flashing in her eyes.

Then, she casually grabbed a sterile drape and tossed it right over the camera lens.

She then walked to the other side of the room and changed into her specialized lab attire.

About five minutes later.

The buzzer to the lab rang out.

Serena stood in front of the workstation, completely surrounded by a sprawling array of beakers and vials.

She genuinely looked like she was deep in the middle of a complex chemical synthesis.
