Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! novel Chapter 1486

"Only three types of people are allowed on Project Zero-Transit."

Serena's gaze flickered. "Which three?"

Dr. Grant slowly revealed the answer. "The Buyers, The Cargo, and The Hunters."

As the three terms fell from his lips, the atmosphere in the medical suite grew noticeably heavier.

"Dr. Grant, could you be more specific?" Serena asked.

He nodded. "The Buyers are the approved trading parties on Project Zero-Transit."

"They could be arms dealers, black market pharmaceutical buyers, or proxies for illegal organizations, syndicates, and rogue laboratories."

"As long as you have the money, the right connections, and The Raven-Plume Pass, you can board as a Buyer."

"The trades that happen on Project Zero-Transit are extremely diverse."

"Weapons, narcotics, illicit experimental data, neural chips, rare biological samples, and even human lives."

Dr. Grant's voice dropped. "Sometimes, what the buyers are purchasing isn't an object. It's a person, or perhaps a life."

Black Jack frowned. "What about The Cargo?"

Dr. Grant looked at her, a profound sadness settling in his eyes. "The Cargo refers to whatever is being sold on the ship."

"Sometimes it's experimental samples, sometimes it's classified data, and sometimes..."

He swallowed hard. "It's people."

A cold gleam slowly crept into Serena's eyes.

Dr. Grant let out a bitter laugh. "A portion of The Black Sun's Obsidian Augments were transported precisely as 'Cargo'."

"They are packed into specialized cryo-pods or neural-stasis units. On the surface, they're labeled as hazardous biological specimens or high-risk medical materials."

"But in reality, those pods are filled with living, breathing human beings."

"Bastards," Jasper muttered under his breath.

"As long as you don't disrupt the core trading operations or target untouchable VIPs, nobody cares if a Hunter kills someone on the ship."

"Some buyers bring Hunters for protection, while others board solely for the lucrative bounties."

Julian spoke slowly. "So, once you're on the ship, whether your identity is real or fake doesn't actually matter."

Dr. Grant met his gaze and nodded. "Exactly. They don't care if your credentials are forged."

"As long as you earn the right to board, the only thing that matters is whether you have the capability to defend the identity you claim."

"If you say you're a Buyer, you better have the funds and the presence to command the room."

"If you say you're a Hunter, you better know how to kill and how to survive."

"If you fail to uphold your role, you're very likely to become The Cargo."

Dr. Grant paused, a heavy weight hanging on his words. "Once you become The Cargo, your life is entirely in someone else's hands."

The corner of Serena's lips curled up into a faint, chilling smile. "That sounds exactly like the rules of Whitecliffe Harbor."
