Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! novel Chapter 1232

Phelps looked like he had just swallowed a lemon.

His plan had been perfect.

An anonymous tip, a highly publicized raid, and a massive scene right outside Serena's door.

Regardless of what they found, the very act of the search would plant a seed of doubt.

No matter how brilliantly she performed later, everyone would whisper that she was coasting on neural-stimulants.

He had accounted for everything.

Except for one glaring anomaly.

Frederick Moore, the supreme head of Severia's top conglomerate, was defending Serena so fiercely he was willing to go to war over it.

Seeing Phelps pale and unresponsive, Voss had no choice but to step forward and lower his voice, speaking directly to Moore. "Chairman Moore, is there really a need to make this so difficult?"

"Just do us a favor. Let us run the protocol and do a quick sweep so I can give my superiors an answer."

"The Prescott family will owe you a favor, and the Organizing Committee will be in your debt."

"Besides..." Voss lowered his voice even further, attempting to sow discord. "Serena Lancaster is an Elyndorian. As a proud Severian, shouldn't you be standing with your own country in a moment like this?"

Hearing that, Moore went dead silent for a second before bursting into laughter.

It was a laugh dripping with pure mockery.

He looked up, his gaze sweeping coldly over Voss before settling on Phelps. "Stand with Severia? You think you people are worthy of my allegiance?"

Phelps could no longer suppress his burning jealousy and rage. "Chairman Moore, have you lost your mind? Do you even hear yourself?"

"You're a Severian! And you're openly defying the Organizing Committee for an Elyndorian brat? You're embarrassing the entire country!"

His face turned a venomous purple as he hissed a threat. "If you try to stop this search, I'll go straight to the global media! I'll tell them Skyline Hotel is actively obstructing an official tournament investigation!"

"The whole country will know that you're a traitor, bending over backward for Elyndor!"

He spoke with fierce conviction, convinced he had just played a trump card.

Moore's expression didn't change. He didn't even blink. He just let out a cold, empty smile. "Perfect."

"I'd love to have a little chat with the global media about the legal consequences of fabricating evidence and maliciously framing an international competitor."
