Robin drove away, and Gilmore returned to the restaurant. 

Seeing that his parents had already packed and wiped the table, Gilmore said to them, “Mom, Dad, I have something important to tell you” 

Hearing that their son had something important to say, Sophia and Harlan sat down.

Gilmore lay on Gerald’s bed. He pointed at his own bed and said to Everly, “I slept on that bed. You can sleep on mine first, and I’ll sleep on Gerald’s.”
