Chapter 37 

“Dom, you’re finally awake. You have no idea how worried I’ve been these past few days. What should I do if something happened to you?” 

Jessica burst into the room, het eyes red and swollen as if she had just cried. 

Dominick hid all he unusual expressions, responding indifferently to Jessica’s concern. 

She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but Dominick seemed to have changed. He had spent billions to save the Moore Group for the sake of her and never hesitated to give her anything she wanted. He was polite and always willing to help. 

But his eyes had changed. The way he looked at her had changed 

His kindness seemed like a mission new, completed without mixing in any personal feelings. 

Jessica used to be confident, but not anymore. 

She blamed all these changes on Lola’s appearance. 

Even though Dominick never crossed certain lines with her, he used to spend most of his time with her. Now, she rarely even saw him. 

Jessica kept this resentment hidden, maintaining a worried expression. 

“Dom, how are you feeling now? Are you still in pain? Should I buy you some food? What do you want to eat?” 

Dominick didn’t even look up. “No need. I assume you didn’t come alone today.” 

His voice was as cold as if he were speaking to a stranger. 

Jessica paused, fooling as if her thoughts had been read, but her guilt was fleeting, and she quickly regained her composure. 

“Dom, what are you talking about? I don’t understand. I came alone,” she said, her voice gentle, trying to change Dominick’s icy demeanor. 

Dominick smiled. He seemed to see through everything, then calmly stood up. 

He felt he had plenty of time. 

“Let’s go.” 

Jessica was momentarily stunned. She hadn’t even mentioned she was there to take Dominick home from the hospital, and he had already guessed it. 

All the words she had prepared in her mind became useless. She could only nod lightly and follow behind Dominick 

As soon as they stepped out of the private hospital, a crowd of people with cameras swarmed around them. 

But Dominick seemed unsurprised, his expression still indifferent. 

Henry quickly stepped forward to shield them. 

“Mr. Sinclair, we’ve heard you’re about to marry Ms. Moore. What do you have to say about that?” 

“Are you just out of the hospital and unaware of the 

e recent events? Do you agree with this arranged marriage, or was it not your will?” 

The media’s questions were sharp and direct, and Henry couldn’t hold them back on his qwn. 

Dominick’s deep gaze turned towards Jessica, unflustered. 

Jessica furrowed her brows slightly, pitifully looking at him. 

In front of so many people, publicly denying the marriage would tarnish her reputation as the Moore family heires 

Jessica was taking a gamble. 

She was betting that Dominick wouldn’t want her to lose face in front of the media. If he really didn’t care and publicly denied the news, the planned to pretend to faint, believing Dominick wouldn’t leave her in that state. 

But if he still cared about her reputation and publicly acknowledged their relationship, there would be no turning back given his significant status. This was a perfect opportunity to inform Dominick about the wedding, a solutions that served both her purposes. 

Holding her breath, Jessica hoped their relationship could withstand this test. 

Dominick remained silent, the scene so quiet one could hear a pin drop. 

Jessica’s confidence waned, sensing Dominick’s genuine anger. 

“I’ve heard the wedding will be held the day after tomorrow. It’s a bit rushed, but that’s okay.” 

Dominick didn’t respond to the reporter’s question, but his response clearly showed his stance, revealing his deep–seated resistance. 

His choice of words, “I’ve heard, cleverly showed he was out of the loop but also accepting of the situation. 

Dominick chose not to elaborate further, adhering to the principle that the less said, the better, especially when the stakes were high. 

“It looks like Dominick has agreed to the arranged marriage, aiming to join forces against us.” 

Ethan was about to turn off the TV when those figures appeared on the screen. 

However, Lola snatched the remote from him, casually tossing 

ing it aside, her demeanor indifferent as she watched the two people on the screen. 

“It’s just a wedding. Even if they had a love child, I wouldn’t be surprised.” 

ola said lightly as if the people on the TV had nothing to do with her. 

Ethan, worried, suggested. “Layla, how about I accompany you for a walk to clear your mind?” 

Lola’s gaze remained fixed on the screen, her expression coolly detached. “Ethan, don’t worry about me. I’m really okay. 

“I only want to know when we’ll see the Moore Group completely collapsed!” 

There wasn’t a trace of sadness in her eyes, only fierce determination, though Ethan knew deep down she cared. 

He thought if she didn’t care, why hadn’t she moved on for so long? 

“Mr. White, someone is here to see you.” A handsome bodyguard entered, speaking humbly. 

Ethan frowned, puzzled about who would come looking for them now that they were no longer at Royal Haven. 

“Who is it?” 

“A woman.” 

Lola looked up, exchanging a glance with Ethan as if she knew something 

“Is she looking for me?” 

She stood up, straightening her dress. 

Chapter 37 

The bodyguard seemed surprised, then nodded. “Yes, Ms. Lewis. Shall I let her in?” 

Ethan’s expression darkened. “Send her away!” 

“Let her in.” 

Lola and Ethan spoke almost simultaneously, with Ethan looking at her in surprise. “Why let her in7 She doesn’t deserve to see your 

Lola smiled lightly. “She just gets carried away, wanting to show off. I’d like to see her bring disgrace on

her own head. 

Though worried for Lola, Ethan allowed her to have her way, ensuring she wasn’t badly treated on his watch. 

“Lola, long time no see. Why do you look worse?” 

Jessica entered with a smile, her words dripping with malice. 

Ethan’s face darkened. “Watch your words, or I’ll teach you a hard lesson.” 

Jessica snorted with confidence.. 

“Oh, by the way, did you know? I’m marrying Dom the day after tomorrow. Before you think of laying a hand on me, consider the consequences of offending Dominick’s wife,” she taunted. 

The title of Dominick’s

But to Lola, it was nothing but distasteful.
