Sinclair POV
Angelo and I worked with the warriors to test the tools. We have rigged each one to work for only a short time, before the circuits self-destruct. When this war happens, they won’t be able to take casualties.
We finished our ‘maintenance’ on the additional servers. All the viruses are in place with a timed delay to go off the day we leave. Then hell is going to rain down on Julian’s pack. Financials are going to disappear again. All viruses will shut down the system overrides. I am going to force all the warriors to the tools. There will be no other way to get to the arms they are used to using.
What’s more brilliant, and it was Angelo’s idea, is that we are going to package everything like it is the elusive ‘Condor’ that did everything. So when the viruses go off, Angelo and I are going to need to make an emergency trip to the company to get the servers I need to override them. Then we are going to fake our deaths.
Adrian is on standby. Once we are out and back at Blackstone, Angelo and I will stay dark until the right moment during the war. Julian will think we are dead, though. Just so he believes me, I’m going to give him hope.
Tomorrow is the day everything is going to happen. I need to talk to Adrian first, though. He has to know what will happen, or he will get the wrong idea. I need him to trust me, but I know he won’t be happy with this part of the plan.
[Sinclair: Hey babe!]
[Adrian: My Sin. Are you ready for tomorrow?]
[Sinclair: Yes. I’m ready. I have everything in place.]
[Adrian: I can’t wait to see you. I’ve been a miserable bastard without you.]
[Sinclair: I know, and I miss you too. I can’t wait to be in your arms again, babe.]
[Adrian: Tomorrow can’t come quick enough.]
[Sinclair: We are going to set off all of the alarms just past noon tomorrow. Then Angelo and I are going to put our plan into action. But…]
[Adrian: But what, little Sin?]
[Sinclair: Promise you won’t flip out or get mad.]
[Adrian: I’m already getting irritated. Just tell me.]
I sighed. This is the part of the conversation that will get us into an argument, and I don’t blame him for getting upset. Angelo is right about it, though.
[Sinclair: Angelo came up with the idea of giving Julian hope with me.]
[Adrian: Explain.]
