Sinclair POV
Adrian wore me out. We haven’t left this room in three days. All our meals are brought to us. Even in the shower, he can’t keep his hands off of me. He made sure that I am comfortable around him with no clothes on, and I’m comfortable with his touch.
My body is sore, and even though Mali heals me quickly now, I’m worn out. Adrian seems to be in tip-top shape though. I can’t tell you how many times he has sent me over the edge, and then when I finally pass out for the night, he cleans me up and pulls me to him, cradling me as I sleep.
Still, the level of exhaustion I have right now is unreal. I’m determined to get out of this room and let my body recover. He is insatiable. I had no idea.
“What are you thinking about, little sin?”
I smirked. He went from little mate to little sin. “I’m thinking we need to go join the living today. Besides, we should probably see Dr. Moreno and make sure our pups are still doing okay. I also want to call Aric. I need to apologize to him and check on Poppy.”
He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me. His smile was gentle and his eyes intense. I don’t even understand how he can have such a contrast.
“Okay. Let’s shower and get dressed.”
I laughed. “I’m not falling for that again. I’m showering alone this time.”
He scooped me up quicker than I could react and carried me into the bathroom. “No tricks this time, babe. Shower, dress, eat with family, and of course everything on your list.”
I narrowed my eyes. “Fine. But if you try anything tricky, I’m getting my gun.”
He started laughing. “I promise. I will keep my hands to myself…mostly.”
I chuckled. “Fine.”
As we were showering, I was noticing that my body was covered in his marks. Is Mali getting weak again?
‘Mali? Are you okay?’
‘Oh, I’m perfect. Best three days ever!’
I chuckled. ‘Then why am I still covered in marks?’
‘That’s by design. Everyone needs to see how desired you are by our yummy mate.’
‘Mali…’
‘Nope, I’m not healing it until tonight.’
I sighed and shook my head. Adrian curiously tilted his head.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. Mali isn’t healing these marks until tonight. She said that she wants everyone to see them.”
Adrian started laughing. It was a full-on belly laugh. “Good job, Mali! You can heal them after lunch tomorrow. I plan to add more tonight.”
“Tonight?”
“Every night,” he growled at me.
Every time he growls like that, I swear it sends a jolt to my core. “You’re insatiable.”
“Deprived,” he said. He is smiling, but there is a little bit of seriousness behind that expression.
"Deprived?” I asked genuinely.
He sighed. “You know my relationship with Amber was rough.”
“Yeah.”
“She wouldn’t let me touch her. After she betrayed me, she changed. Then you and I became mates, and you left me for five weeks,” he finished, and there was some sadness in his eyes.
I reached up to his face and kissed him. “I’m sorry I left. I really am, Adrian.”
He wrapped his arms around me while the water showered us. “It’s fine. You are here, in my arms, and you are not going anywhere.”
I smiled. “No. I’m not. The three of us are staying right here with you.”
I growled approvingly and kissed me deeply. When he released me, he pressed his forehead against mine. “Thank you for giving me a family.”
“You have an incredible family, Adrian. I really should be thanking you.”
He placed his hands on my stomach protectively. “You don’t understand. I begged Amber to start a family. She always said it wasn’t the right time. Later I understood why, but it left me feeling like she didn’t want one with me.”
“Worked things out?” Aiden asked. “Are you kidding me? We were afraid we would need to send a rescue team for you, Sin.”
Adrian flipped his middle finger. “Don’t blame me for taking care of the mother of my pups.”
“Are you craving anything yet?” Thalia asked.
I looked at her, grateful for a question that doesn’t embarrass me. “Peach Cobbler and potato chips. Oh, and chicken.”
An omega brings me a plate of food with grilled chicken and all kinds of sides. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” she said. “Congratulations on your pregnancy, beta. If you have any cravings, let me know, and I will get it for you right away.”
“Do we have any peach cobbler?”
“We do. I’ll bring you some.”
She left in a hurry, and I looked over at Aiden, who was looking at me strangely.
“What?” I asked.
“No weird cravings? Just chicken, potato chips, and peach cobbler?”
I looked at him funny. “Um, yeah?”
He looked over at Adrian. “You lucky S.O.B. Thalia and Kaia drove Isaiah and me crazy with weird cravings.”
Adrian laughed. “My pups are sensible.”
Mom and Dad looked at each other and laughed. “Wait, son,” Dad said. “You and Isaiah started ‘sensibly’, then the weird cravings came.”
Mom then added, “Yeah, I craved vanilla ice cream with mustard and crispy fried onions with you and your brother.”
Aiden smiled. “Excellent. I’ll be waiting. You can’t get a pass on the cravings, brother.”
I laughed so hard at the exchange that I actually snorted, causing everyone to laugh with me.
