Her Hidden Hero from the Unwritten Page novel Chapter 35

Melancholy Sweetie: [No.]

Melancholy Sweetie: [[Dead inside.jpg]]

Maining Aphrodite: [Well, let me copy yours when you're done.]

Melancholy Sweetie: [I can't even get a passing grade in Math, and you still have the guts to copy my answers?]

Maining Aphrodite: [I absolutely do. I got a 9% on the last final.]

Melancholy Sweetie: [...]

Winona was utterly speechless.

A 9% scorer truly feared nothing.

Melancholy Sweetie: [How do you even manage to only score 9 points?]

Maining Aphrodite: [Bad luck. I only guessed one multiple-choice question right.]

Melancholy Sweetie: [...]

Melancholy Sweetie: [Fine, I'll send it to you when I finish.]

Maining Aphrodite: [Yay! Hehe, thanks Winona.]

Maining Aphrodite: [You're the first person who's ever been willing to let me copy their homework.]

Winona coughed awkwardly, sent Melody Sterling a sticker, and lowered her head to resume her battle with the worksheet.

Serious, patient, focused, diligent...

Yeah, she couldn't take it anymore. Winona leaned back, and the obscenely expensive ergonomic chair automatically adjusted to cradle her spine.

Settling comfortably, she unlocked her phone, scrolled through her contacts list, and let her thumb hover over a primitive penguin avatar for a moment.

Forget it.

She backed out and opened the school forum. Big mistake.

99+ unread direct messages.

Wait, had she committed some kind of war crime online? Why was her inbox blowing up?

Winona clicked into her messages and was immediately assaulted by a wall of insults calling her a delusional, desperate pig and an attention-seeker.

Winona scrolled up slightly. That one derogatory comment she'd left about Herbert had clearly triggered the wrath of his fan club.

"Wow."

"Why isn't he replying?"

Rhea Sawyer frowned, staring at her screen full of green text bubbles. She'd been messaging Herbert ever since school let out, but he was completely ghosting her.

Feeling immensely wronged, she tossed her phone onto the bed.

She grabbed her empty water glass from the desk and opened her door to head to the kitchen, nearly slamming straight into Jupiter as he walked in from outside.

Their eyes met, and Jupiter immediately looked away.

Even though they had been siblings for nearly a decade, they weren't close.

More accurately, Rhea had always tried to play the friendly sister, desperate to build a bond, but Jupiter shot her down with ice-cold indifference every single time.

"...Jupiter."

Rhea stopped him.

Jupiter halted, his expression blank. "What?"

The hallway felt cramped. He was tall, his hands resting naturally by his sides, his joints elegantly defined like fresh bamboo. When he turned his head slightly to look at her, completely devoid of emotion, Rhea actually felt a spike of genuine terror.

That hadn't been there before. They weren't close, sure, but he had never exuded this kind of intense, suffocating pressure before.
