Her Hidden Hero from the Unwritten Page novel Chapter 3

The driver, Walter, was confused but obediently stopped the car.

Winona didn’t say a word. Through the tinted glass, she stared silently at Jupiter from a distance.-

Jupiter was Rhea’s brooding, fiercely obsessive stepbrother. He possessed a devastating attractiveness that rivaled the male lead, coupled with the exact same poverty and high IQ as his sister. He was one of the very few top students at Brighton International Academy whose tuition was entirely waived due to sheer academic brilliance.

In her past life, Winona had despised Rhea, and that hatred naturally extended to her stepbrother. She had caused him endless trouble.

Jupiter had absorbed every single bit of it in silence.

During their senior year, he scored near-perfect marks and became the valedictorian. He effortlessly got into the most elite university and continued his relentless climb.

During their sophomore year in college, at Herbert’s birthday party, Winona and Rhea had both accidentally consumed laced drinks.

That night was meant to be the steamy turning point for the male and female leads, the night they surrendered to each other.

Yet, in a completely unnoticed hotel suite…

Winona had woken up the next morning in unspeakable pain. She was completely naked, sitting up in absolute panic.

Jupiter had been sitting on the bay window balcony in his sweatpants, bare-chested, an unlit cigarette dangling from his lips.

Hearing her move, he turned his head and stared at her in dead silence.

Driven by pure fury, Winona had hurled countless vicious insults at him.

Jupiter let her hit and curse him until she finally broke down into tears of frustration. Only then did his voice turn hoarse as he said, “I’ll do the right thing.”

Naturally, Winona refused to let him do any such thing. She ruthlessly threatened him, ordering him to forget the entire night, swearing him to secrecy, and demanding they act like strangers forever.

Jupiter had simply looked down, pulled on his shirt, and uttered a single word: “Fine.”

After that, Winona truly rarely saw him again. Her family fell apart. Drowning in massive debt, she couldn't even finish college.

During those two years she spent dodging debt collectors, Jupiter built an empire from scratch, rapidly securing his place in the city's ruthless, fiercely competitive upper echelon.

The gap between them was still astronomically huge—only this time, their positions were entirely reversed.

Winona had lived here since the day she was born. There was a beautiful front courtyard featuring a small artificial lake. The koi fish swimming in the water, each worth tens of thousands, were the absolute pride and joy of her father, Clarence Lennox.

It was late September, so the sun wasn't overly scorching; instead, it bathed the entire house in a warm, welcoming glow.

Winona stood by the water's edge for a moment, watching the fish fan their glittering tails beneath the surface.

God, she had missed this so much. After the Lennox family went bankrupt in her past life, this villa had been repossessed. Left with barely twenty bucks to her name, she had been forced to live in a dingy basement for a whole year.

“What are you spacing out for? Did you fall in love with those muddy loaches?”

A cold female voice cut through the air.

Winona froze and turned toward the sound.

Stella Jenkins stood there with her arms crossed, glaring at her in annoyance. Her thin face was pale, with deep, dark circles under her eyes, looking as though she hadn't had a proper night's sleep in years.

“Mom!”
