He Didn’t Kidnap Me. Not Exactly novel Chapter 64

Chapter 64

(Daisy’s POV)

“I was basically at the right place at the wrong time so he kidnapped me.”

The words came out far too casually for something that should have come with sirens, flashing lights, and at least one therapist.

“Well… his men did,” I added, adjusting my position on the bed. “They took me to his mansion. Then after some yery unnecessary tension and dramatic staring, they realized I wasn’t the person they were looking for.”

Lilian blinked.

Then she sat up straighter.

Then she grabbed my arm strongly. I stared, confused.

“Wait- hold on. That night you texted me?” she said quickly. “The one where you said you were in a window and you weren’t sure if

you’d make the jump?”

I winced. “Yes.”

Her eyes widened.

“That was THIS?”

“Yes.”

There was a pause. A very brief pause.

Then-

“You were actually kidnapped by a mafia?” She asked and then whispered thoughtfully to herself. “So he’s truly one.”

I stared at her. “Why do you sound excited by that?”

“Because this is insane!” she whisper-shouted, clutching a pillow to her chest like she was the one who had been taken. “Do you

know how many people go through life without ever being kidnapped by someone handsome, rich and dangerous?”

I stared in disbelief. “I would have liked to be one of those people,” I muttered.

She ignored me completely.

“Wait- wait. Wait,” she said, narrowing her eyes. “So all that time you were gone, you were in a mansion… with him and his gang?”

She sighed dramatically and flopped back onto the bed.
