He Didn’t Kidnap Me. Not Exactly novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39

But then I closed my eyes as he had told me to. But I did it also because I didn’t want to keep staring at his lips and make this tension multiply.

I didn’t exactly know what I was doing anymore. And I didn’t know what was going on but a part of me wanted to see where it would take me. Or us.

I knew there were people around us and all this was a bit strange, but YOLO. You only live once right?

Meanwhile, somethings are just so spontaneous to be real, which makes them a bit concerning. But spontaneity is how magi happens…

And so my eyes remained closed while my heart kept racing but remained steadfast. I felt Nathan’s breath on me now… and soon,! heard his voice.

“Have you ever been kissed before?” He asked, his voice soft and tender.

I shook my head, indicating a ‘no’.

“I could help fix that.” His warming voice came again and my heart beat grew wilder. But I still had my cognition and I was about to shake my head once again and indicate a ‘no’ when a sharp sound cut me off.

It was a CLICK, and the sound cut through everything.

Sharp. Loud… Wrong.

My eyes snapped open instantly, and for a second, I didn’t understand what I was looking at.

A phone, held up and pointed directly at me. Then another.

And another.

Laughter followed then. It started small- a snicker, then a chuckle, before spreading through the room, growing louder until it

filled the space around me in a way that made my chest squeeze.

I stepped back instinctively, my hand slipping from his.

“What-”

My voice never finished or got the chance to because someone stepped forward cheering and holding up a white board with bold black letters across the front.

PRANK VIDEO COMPLETE: A Girl Publicly Begging Nathan For S*x.

The words didn’t register immediately. They simply existed, suspended in front of me like something my mind wasn’t ready to/ understand.

Then it clicked… and everything else came with it.
