Margaret’s fingers curled unconsciously into the back of his shirt, crumpling the fabric into messy folds
He didn’t hold back. He came at her like he’d been waiting for this too long-no hesitation, no mercy, just heat and hunger crashing into her.
And she felt herself breaking open. Wetness spread, slick against her thighs, her body betraying every wall she’d built. The steady, relentless pounding was pulling her apart.
The wooden table groaned under their weight, unsteady, threatening to give.
Margaret squeezed her eyes shut, swallowing the broken sounds clawing up her throat. She finally understood why this man ran Central Hospital. His knowledge of the body was absolutely relentless- every touch precise, every stroke calculated to wreck her.

Outside the courtyard, the night wind rustled through the huge ginkgo tree, making the leaves whisper and shift.
Tyrone stood just outside the courtyard gate, a stack of paper files in his hand. As an SSS-class male, his senses were far sharper than average. Even with the room’s top-tier soundproofing, he could still pick up the faint noises coming from inside.
It was the creak of the wooden table, the soft rustle of fabric, and the quiet, stifled sounds that couldn’t be fully held back….
Tyrone froze where he stood. The smile faded slowly from his face. His green eyes darkened in the night -no emotion showing.
He stared down at the files in his hand, crumpling the edges of the paper deep with his grip.
He’d known Margaret was different from the first second he laid eyes on her. She’d kept her cool and fought her way out of being surrounded, and she’d shifted blame onto others like it was second nature.

She was born to be in charge. And all of them? They were just pieces on her board-or maybe, lovers welcomed into her bed.
Tyrone leaned against the courtyard wall and tilted his head up, gazing at Stillstar Galaxy’s signature purple night sky. A random, restless irritation pricked at his chest.
He was used to being in control, to manipulating everyone around him however he wanted. But now? He was feeling something totally new for this so-called “wife” of his-an uncontrollable, burning T possessiveness.
Tyrone shook his head, letting out a long, slow breath.
I idiot heard
Good thing Quentin hasn’t come with me. If that stubborn, single-minded idiot heard this,

He stood out there for a long time, waiting until the sounds inside died down completely. Then the scent of another male’s pheromones in the air faded away.

Inside the room, Margaret had already showered and gotten dressed. She leaned back against the headboard, her whole body sore and heavy-she barely had the strength to lift her hand.
Cheiron looked like some polished, proper gentleman on the surface, but out of his clothes? He was a total
maniac.
Cheiron sat on the edge of the bed, getting dressed at a slow, unhurried pace. He was already back to his usual put-together self, but the satisfied glow in his eyes was impossible to hide. He poured a glass of warm water, tested the temperature, and held it up to Margaret’s lips.
Margaret drank half the glass from his hand, and her dry, scratchy throat finally felt a little better.
“Tyrone’s outside.” Cheiron set the glass down, his tone flat. He’d sensed Tyrone’s presence this whole time. But he hadn’t stopped-if anything, he’d been even bolder about it. It was that male territorial instinct, plain and simple.
“Let him in.” Margaret propped herself up against the pillows, running a hand through her half-dry hair.
Cheiron turned and opened the door.
Outside, Tyrone was already back to his usual smiling demeanor. He glanced at Cheiron’s slightly rumpled collar, a dark flicker passing through his green eyes, then held out the files.
“Here’s what you asked for, Ms. Greene.” Tyrone looked past Cheiron straight to Margaret on the bed. “We tracked all of Greven’s money trails and communication records. He wasn’t just working with nobles- there are high-ranking military people involved, too. It even reaches out to a few fringe galaxies. All the names are in here.”
Margaret didn’t pay any mind to the tense, charged air between the two men. She just grabbed the files and flipped open the first page.
“Nice work.” She scanned the long list of prominent names and sneered, “The Empire’s been rotten from the roots up for ages. Greven was just the front man they threw out there.”
“They’re scrambling to cover their tracks right now,” Tyrone stepped forward and stood by the bed. “Prime Planet already issued a top-level warrant for your arrest. They’re pinning all the live experiment charges on the black market, saying you’re a brainwashed puppet we’re controlling.”
“Let them say all they want.” Margaret closed the file and tossed it casually onto the table. “Tyrone, dig up everything on every name on this list. All the dirty deals, all the bribes, every rotten thing they’ve ever done. I want all of it.”
She lifted her head, her gaze sharp and clear. “They’re gonna learn what happens when you mess with someone you shouldn’t.”
Tyrone looked at her, the dark edge in his green eyes fading away, replaced by pure, unguarded admiration. “As you wish, Ms. Greene.”
After Tyrone left, Margaret and Cheiron were alone in the room again.
