She got straight to the point. “When we first put this team together, we staffed it deep for a reason to have backup. So here’s the plan: starting now, we split into two groups, A and B. Mix senior and junior members evenly across both. Each group gets one week to work independently and deliver a completely fresh proposal.

“We’ll pick the stronger one. And this way, everyone gets a real taste of competition-what it actually feels like to fight for a win.

“I don’t care how you get it done or how many late nights it takes. In one week, I want to see two proposals that actually impress me. Even if we still lose the bid in the end, at least we’ll know we gave it everything-not that we got cut for being mediocre.”

When Riley finished, Raymond frowned and pushed back. “Riley, isn’t that a big risk? The submission deadline is right around the corner. Dividing the team in half and making them compete-won’t that just create tension and hurt morale?”

“I call it lighting a fire under them,” Riley replied firmly, her eyes locked on her brother. “Instead of worrying from the sidelines, how about we get our hands dirty too? You and I each take one group and work with them directly. Sound good? Better than just giving orders from upstairs.”

Raymond’s expression tightened slightly.
