Phoebe immediately replied, "You misunderstand. Warren did pursue me, but I never agreed. We're strictly colleagues, so there's no need for you to intercede."
She hadn't seen Warren for the past few days either, and she still wasn't entirely sure how Quentin had managed to track down the fact that they bought the trending topics.
For now, she didn't want Nocturne getting tangled up in it.
Nocturne nodded and didn't press further.
During their meal, Phoebe chatted with Nocturne about manga from a reader's perspective. She was gentle and considerate, offering unique insights. They hit it off quite well, and Nocturne was nowhere near as aloof as he had been at the start.
Phoebe, in turn, found herself idolizing Nocturne even more.
After they finished eating, Phoebe paid the bill in advance. Nocturne felt a bit guilty. "How could I let a lady pay for the meal?"
Phoebe smiled sweetly. "Then you can treat me next time!"
Nocturne smiled faintly. "Sure, if we get the chance."
Phoebe's face flushed. "As long as you're treating, I'll definitely be there."
Nocturne glanced at her. "I should be going."
"Goodbye!"
Watching his retreating figure, Phoebe was already looking forward to their next meeting.

On Saturday morning, Carson took Marina back to his family's home. They stayed until late afternoon before Marina headed back to the Evert residence.
As soon as she walked through the door, she saw Grandma Evert and Charlotte looking over the promotional brochure for the art exhibition.
Rhiannon immediately called out to Marina, "Marina, come here! It's your favorite master manga artist, William Thorne."
Marina sat down on the sofa, and Grandma Evert smiled. "I heard tickets for the comic exhibition are being scalped at ridiculous prices. Some sections are completely sold out. Thank goodness we have Phoebe; she's an insider at the gallery."
Marina interjected, "Phoebe got cursed out online too, and her popularity definitely went up. By your logic, Aunt Charlotte, isn't that a great thing for her, with zero losses?"
"You—" Charlotte glared at Marina with cold, sharp eyes. "I was actually planning to have Phoebe get you a couple of exhibition tickets, but it looks like you're completely ungrateful. I guess you don't need them after all!"
Charlotte already harbored a grudge against Marina because of the Warren situation, and she was simply using this as an excuse to lash out.
Hearing this, Rhiannon immediately tried to smooth things over for Marina. "Charlotte, why are you bickering with a child? Marina isn't trying to talk back to you; you know she's always been blunt."
Charlotte leaned back against the sofa, crossing her arms with a sarcastic smirk. "I guess I'm just an outsider of an aunt, not nearly as important as her beloved idol. If she wants tickets to the exhibition, she can go beg her idol for them!"
Grandma Evert tried to play peacemaker. "Marina is just being immature. You're her aunt; be the bigger person and don't stoop to her level."
Charlotte's expression grew even more smug. "I can let it go, provided Marina apologizes to me. Do that, and I'll still have Phoebe get you the tickets!"
Rhiannon quickly tugged on Marina's arm and whispered, "Just apologize to your aunt!"
