Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3567

Remembering the words she had cried out, Marina blushed furiously. "Carson Foster!"

He kissed her. "Go to sleep. I'll order some food and wake you when it gets here."

Marina closed her eyes and offered a soft, "Mhm."

Carson had kept his phone on silent all morning, letting work pile up. He grabbed his phone and got out of bed, heading to the study to let Marina rest.

Marina slept for less than an hour, but she had a barrage of nightmares.

She dreamed of Cicely, whom she hadn't seen in a long time.

They were back at the 9th Mansion. Cicely held a knife to her, her face streaked with tears as she demanded to know why Carson had abandoned her.

She claimed she was pregnant with his child and talked about how much she loved him.

Looking closely into the woman's obsessive, crazed eyes, Marina felt her despair—a suffocating wave of shared sorrow.

Carson's attitude remained utterly cold, as if none of it had anything to do with him.

Cicely looked manic, threatening to kill her. Carson just scoffed dismissively, "Go ahead. Kill her. I'll just find another woman. Women are the one thing I'll never run out of."

A sharp ache pierced Marina's chest as she stared blankly at Carson.

Cicely suddenly burst into laughter and turned to her. "Do you see? He doesn't love you at all. He's never loved anyone. He just enjoys the process of conquering a woman!"

Driven mad, she shoved Marina away and plunged the knife into her own stomach. "Carson, I'm returning your child to you. Give me back my heart. Now we're even, okay?"

Blood splattered everywhere, and Marina watched in horror as her entire vision turned red.

She woke up from the nightmare with a gasp.

The sun was already setting. Winter afternoons were as brief as the evenings; the warmth passed before you could even feel its intensity.

Marina turned her head toward the sunlight streaming through the window, her gaze hazy.

Wrapping herself in a towel, Marina went back to her room, changed into loungewear, washed up, and returned to the master bedroom to strip the sheets and toss them in the washing machine.

After finishing, she waited in the living room for Carson to return before heading to the dining room.

"Didn't I tell you to eat first?" Carson asked.

"It's just the two of us. It's better to eat together." Marina reheated the food, brought it to the table, and held her hand out to him. "The pill."

Carson handed it to her. "Take it as directed. There might be side effects. Let me know immediately if you feel unwell."

Marina agreed and went to the kitchen to get some water to take the pill.

With her back to him, she heard him say, "From now on, even during your safe window, I'll use protection."

Marina paused, holding her glass, and gave a slight nod. "Okay."
