Sabrina remembered when Bella was just a little girl. Whenever Sabrina dragged her along to sketchy entertainment venues, Bella would witness drunken brawls and see people bleeding. The terrified child would grip Sabrina's clothes tightly and hide behind her, petrified of the sight of blood.
Sabrina reasoned with herself, trying to extinguish her rising panic.
Her sweet girl couldn't do something like this. But the reality remained: Debbie had been in Bella's custody all these days.
Suddenly, a memory flashed through Sabrina's mind—the image of Bella mercilessly beating Debbie black and blue, leaving the older woman coughing up blood.
A sickening wave of nausea washed over Sabrina. Her face went pale as she forced out a tight excuse. "Seeing things like this makes me feel sick. I'm going upstairs."
Without waiting for a response, Sabrina turned and hurried away.
The three men watched her go, but none of them found it particularly suspicious. Given that Sabrina had interacted with Debbie recently, it was completely normal for her to have a visceral reaction to such a gruesome video.
"So dramatic."
Brandon muttered, rolling his eyes at the staircase. Sabrina had spent years using that exact fragile, dramatic act to manipulate his love-blinded father.
Martin replayed the video. "These people are completely lawless. If this happened in Northwyn, aren't they afraid the Blake family will tear them to pieces?"
Colin scoffed. "Who does she think she is? Do you really think Old Mr. Blake would stick his neck out for her?
And as for Sebastian, he probably doesn't even see her as his mother.
If he actually cared, would he have ignored her for years?
