Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 1129

Whenever things didn't go his way, the boy's resentment only magnified.

Thanks to Bella spoiling him rotten, he believed that anyone who defied him deserved to be punished—or worse.

Right now, his enthusiasm for his father had completely vanished.

Sebastian, however, was too distracted to notice.

His mind was entirely consumed by the upcoming reunion with Lillian.

He was already plotting and planning exactly what to say to her.

Back in Northwyn, Lillian stuck to her usual routine of work and life.

Lillionix was preparing for relocation. Their massive influx of orders demanded immediate expansion and aggressive hiring. The current office was simply too cramped.

Even their factory space was stretching at the seams.

On top of that, she was in desperate need of top-tier talent.

Her situation was an open secret in the industry.

Everyone knew what was happening. After her identity as Li was made public, combined with her brilliant low-altitude economy initiative, orders had exploded.

Countless factories were practically begging to partner with Lillionix to take on the overflow.

Originally, Lillian hadn't planned on outsourcing any part of the production pipeline.

But seeing the immense pressure Celia Bennett was under, she began considering outsourcing some of the lower-tier components.

After several grueling days of meetings, they finally locked down which basic parts to hand off.

Then came the next headache.

Knowing what to outsource was easy; thoroughly vetting the manufacturing plants was the hard part.

After the meeting, Celia dropped a towering stack of reports onto Lillian's desk.

Lillian didn't open it right away, glancing up instead.

"A favor? An old connection? Or just the best of the bunch?"

"It was just submitted," Celia explained. "They claimed they're old family friends of the Mercers. Some sort of shared history.

They didn't participate in the initial bidding round. It was rushed over out of nowhere.

They asked me to pass it along and just have you review it through the normal channels."

Lillian raised a brow. "Oh? An old family friend?"

She flipped open the file, and bold letters instantly caught her eye.

'The Winthrop family...'

That was definitely unexpected!
