The old lady had deep pockets, making it easy to indulge the habit. Martin knew nothing about the items in her collection room, but even without knowing their exact appraisal, he knew they were worth a fortune.

Naturally, he was unwilling to part with them.

"Well... honey, those antiques belong to my mother. She might be in a coma right now, but if she ever wakes up and finds out, she'd skin me alive. Let's pick something else, okay?"

Sabrina rolled her eyes. "Right, you wouldn't dare touch your precious mother's treasures. Her words are gospel to you. If she hadn't collapsed, you never would have had the guts to marry me in the first place. Fine, let's pick something else. What else do you have?"
