Dave didn’t mean anything by it. He had always been a straightforward person, so the moment he heard what Dylan said, he simply spoke his mind.

Dylan glanced at him but didn’t argue. He only smiled.

Ella patted him on the shoulder with a sympathetic look. “Boy, you’re seriously underestimating him.”

Dylan didn’t have much of a presence within the team, but no one dared overlook him.

He usually seemed quiet, but his ability to learn was nothing short of astonishing.

“What do you mean?”

Dave looked confused. “You’re not saying he really learned how to fly a helicopter just by flipping through that manual, are you? He hasn’t even touched the controls. Isn’t that a little too unbelievable?”

“What’s so unbelievable about it?”

Monica answered calmly, “Don’t you think it’s just as unbelievable that Robin casually pulled a helicopter out of nowhere?”

Dave froze for a second.

She had a point.

Everyone on this team was extraordinary.

Not just Robin. Every single member was special.

“You really know how to fly it now?” Robin asked.

Dylan nodded.

“I should be able to.”

“All right.”

After thinking for a moment, Robin looked at Henry. “You two can take the other helicopter.”

Ten people packed into one helicopter was a little crowded anyway.

Since Henry had flown one before, this was the perfect chance for him to get familiar with in

Robin had plenty of helicopters. By the later stages of the apocalypse, helicopters had become one of the most common ways to travel because the roads were full of zombies, making driving slow and dangerous.

Helicopters were also widely used to transport supplies and personnel between survivor bases.

That was why she wanted everyone on her team to learn how to fly one.

As her eyes wandered, she noticed Vivian peeking over.

Robin fell silent for a moment.

Better not Vivian.

Sometimes she had no sense of limits. Robin was honestly worried that one day, if Vivian got upset, she’d fly a helicopter straight into something.

“The other helicopter?”

Henry looked confused. Then Robin raised a hand. A second light helicopter instantly appeared outside.

“You have another one?”

Dave was so shocked that he almost stuttered.

Oh my God! Robin is incredible!

Someone like her had actually gone all the way to Heningford Base just to recruit me…

Dave suddenly felt touched. He was even a little flattered.

Robin urged them, “Go fly that helicopter.”

Since Henry had flown helicopters before the apocalypse, he would get back into it faster after some practice.

As for Dylan, Robin knew how brilliant he was.

She trusted him completely. If he said he had already learned, then he definitely had. With Dylan watching over Henry in the other helicopter, she didn’t have to worry about anything happening.

Henry looked nervous. “This is way too sudden. I’m not ready yet…”

Robin shot him a fierce look.

Henry immediately behaved. “Fine, fine. I’ll go now. But I’m really nervous. It’s been a long time since I’ve flown a helicopter, and I’ve forgotten a lot. If something goes wrong…”

Dylan interrupted him calmly. “Nothing will go wrong.”

“What?”

“Robin sent the two of us to that helicopter because she wants me to watch over you. Don’t worry. You’ll be fine.”

His voice was calm, yet filled with quiet confidence, as if everything was already under control.

Henry pouted and snorted. “If I crash, I’m taking you down with me!”

Even though he grumbled, he still obediently walked outside.

After spending so much time together, he and Dylan had already built complete trust in each other.

Robin watched the two of them leave before turning to the controls in front of her.

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

Memories of flying helicopters from her previous life came rushing back. Her hands moved with practiced ease. The rotor above her head slowly began to spin before accelerating faster and faster.

One after the other, the two helicopters lifted into the air.

“Oh my God!”

Ella leaned out the window as the ground below grew smaller and smaller. She was bursting with excitement. “This is my first time riding in a helicopter!”

She couldn’t believe that after the apocalypse, she would actually get to fly in one.

Everyone else had lived comfortable lives before the apocalypse, only to become refugees afterward.

Her life had been completely ordinary before the apocalypse. But after it began, the quality of her life had only continued to improve.
