Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 1719

Watching the two disappear from the nightclub, the tension in the booth finally dissolved.

A single man grumbled in dissatisfaction. "Judging by that attitude, is he really her boyfriend? She clearly has someone but pretended to be single. I guess she was just playing us for fools!"

Another male classmate immediately chimed in, his tone sour. "Come on, do you really think that is her boyfriend? He is probably just some desperate admirer trying to use this to his advantage."

"Exactly! Did you not hear Ms. Moore's threat earlier? Whoever touches her gets thrown in prison! Even if that guy gets lucky tonight, he is completely screwed the second she wakes up tomorrow!"

Listening to their chatter, the malicious woman let out a long sigh of relief, a triumphant smirk creeping onto her face. "Exactly. We tried to be nice, and she threw it in our faces. Now all we have to do is sit back and watch the show."

She was overjoyed. Even though she had not managed to throw Sylvia to the male classmates, the outcome was not bad at all. Not only had she torn off Sylvia's untouchable mask, but she had also arranged for some random stranger to scoop her up when she was completely defenseless. She could not wait to see how Sylvia would face everyone tomorrow morning after realizing she had slept with an unknown man. As for the man's threat to sue them, she did not care in the slightest. Just as the others had pointed out, the second he laid a hand on Sylvia, his own fate was sealed. He would not have the time or energy to come after them.

Meanwhile, with a terrifyingly dark expression, Steve carried Sylvia down the chaotic hallway and into the elevator. Sylvia had already lost all ability to fight the raging desires inside her. She melted into Steve's arms like a puddle of warm water.

Sylvia lifted her hazy eyes. The gaze that was usually so sharp and capable was now clouded and wet, as if covered by a thick layer of mist. She had absolutely no idea who the man holding her was. All she knew was that the clean, crisp scent of him was intoxicating. Like someone dying of thirst, she instinctively pressed herself closer to him.

Steve's breath hitched at her touch. He clenched his jaw, muttered a curse under his breath, and forcefully pushed her burning face back into the crook of his shoulder.

With a soft ding, the elevator finally opened on the hotel floor. Steve hurried out, carrying her down the silent hallway. The only sounds in the air were Sylvia's rapid, heavy panting and Steve's hurried footsteps. Reaching his room, Steve freed one hand to punch in the code. His usually steady, elegant fingers were trembling uncontrollably.
