Divorce Failed! My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 1042

Nowadays, the law protected unruly children far too well.

Sarah was trembling with rage.

"So I just have to sit here and let this little brat bully me?"

Having caused trouble, the boy wasn't afraid in the slightest. Instead, he added fuel to the fire by making faces at them.

While pulling faces, he spewed a string of crude, insulting profanities.

Sarah couldn't hold back anymore. "Whose little bastards are you? If you don't shut your mouths, I'm going to slap you silly."

She raised her hand, looking as if she were about to strike.

The ringleader let out an ear-piercing wail, his voice echoing loudly through the room.

Seeing his friend cry, the other boy immediately followed suit, sobbing at the top of his lungs.

The entire restaurant was filled with their deafening shrieks.

The commotion finally drew the attention of their parents.

Two wealthy women draped in designer brands hurried over.

To Maeve's surprise, she recognized one of them.

Eva Yeager?

"Ryan, tell Mom, who bullied you?"

The boy pointed a chubby finger at Maeve and Sarah.

"Those two bad women tried to hit me!"

A spark of amusement flashed in Maeve's eyes.

This brat called Eva his mother? Was he Barton Grover's illegitimate son?

Eva picked up her son and cooed at him before glaring at Sarah.

She looked surprised when she spotted Maeve, but that surprise quickly morphed into deep-seated hatred.

Knowing her friend had suffered unjustly because of Maeve, she naturally harbored a grudge against her.

As for her precious son, he was an angel in her eyes, and no one was allowed to say a bad word about him.

Maeve, who hadn't said a single word, remained silent.

It was news to her that her reputation had grown so terrifying that she could supposedly erase people at will.

Furious at their audacity, Sarah demanded loudly, "How dare you play the victims? Those little brats were throwing things for no reason. The frosting on my face is proof."

Mrs. Lewis shot back, "My son would never throw things around. And even if he did, why don't you look at yourself? Why would he target you instead of someone else? Did you provoke him first?"

Sarah was dumbfounded.

She always knew that behind every bratty kid was an equally terrible parent.

But this level of entitlement was beyond anything she had ever seen.

"I don't even know these kids! Why would I provoke them?"
