Divorce Failed! My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 1012

"Boss, there he is!"

Daisy couldn't believe Benjamin would do something so recklessly stupid.

As the leader started marching toward him, she lunged, wrapping her arms tightly around the man's leg.

"Benjamin, are you an idiot?" she screamed. "There are cameras everywhere! They won't actually kill me!"

Taking a beating was vastly better than him losing his life.

The man delivered a brutal kick to her stomach.

"Get off me, you bitch!" he spat.

Then he barked at his men, "Finish Bright off!"

At that critical second, Benjamin's bodyguards finally swarmed the hallway.

Their arrival instantly flipped the odds.

As the two sides clashed in a brutal melee, Zane rushed down the hall and hauled Benjamin to his feet.

"Boss Bright, is it your heart again?" Zane asked frantically.

Using his very last breath, Benjamin pointed a trembling finger at Daisy.

"Save her," he wheezed.

The moment the words left his lips, Benjamin collapsed into total darkness.

Though battered, Daisy had only sustained superficial injuries.

Once the immediate danger passed, she scrambled over to Benjamin and checked his breathing. It was so faint he was barely clinging to life.

She instantly called Maeve Vance to deliver the terrifying news.

On the other end of the line, Maeve's voice remained eerily calm.

"I understand. Is Zane with you? Put him on the phone."

Daisy hurriedly shoved the phone into Zane's hand.

Andres didn't waste time asking questions. He threw on his jacket and ordered Murray to assemble a security detail to escort them straight to the hospital.

Benjamin had a private VIP suite and his own dedicated medical team at a high-end private hospital.

Following Maeve's strict orders, Zane had rushed him there to prep for immediate surgery.

By the time Maeve and Andres arrived, it was already ten o'clock at night.

Dr. Evans, Benjamin's chief physician—a man in his early forties—was clearly an old acquaintance of Maeve's.

Seeing her rush in, Dr. Evans paused giving orders to his nurses and hurried over.

Maeve was carrying a small, uniquely designed medical cooler.

"Maeve," Dr. Evans asked, his eyes darting to the cooler. "Is that the new experimental heart for Mr. Bright?"

Maeve nodded firmly.

"Custom-made specifically for his blood type and genetic markers," she said. "I've been preparing for this exact day."
