Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 54

"Who else? Vanessa, my wonderful sister!" Giselle snapped, her tone dripping with annoyance.

"What nonsense are you spouting? Your sister would never do such a thing. You must have seen wrong," George scolded. "I know you two don't get along, but you shouldn't slander her reputation."

Giselle opened her mouth to argue, but Elaine quickly squeezed her hand.

"Giselle is just worried. It's just that the girls had a bit of a falling out at Caleb's party tonight."

George took a seat on the sofa. "What happened?"

Elaine repeated what Giselle had just told her.

However, she conveniently omitted the part where Giselle's own scheme to frame Vanessa was publicly exposed. She framed it as Vanessa deliberately humiliating Giselle at the party and having her thrown out, implying that Vanessa was ruthless and willing to sabotage her own family for the vice president position.

"George, I know Vanessa isn't my biological daughter, but I've never mistreated her all these years. You favor her, and I've never said a word, but she took things way too far this time. If you can't be fair and keep taking her side, it's really going to break Giselle's heart."

Giselle's eyes reddened. Right as George looked her way, a single tear slipped perfectly down her cheek.

"Dad, I don't blame her. She has your love, and I... no matter what I do, it's never enough for you."

She was his flesh and blood, so naturally, George loved her.

But in the past, her arrogance and constant need to compete with Vanessa had often displeased him.

With Elaine defending her, he felt compelled to be impartial, or else Giselle really would seem pitiful.

"If what you're saying is true, I won't play favorites!"

George said sternly, pulling out his phone to call Vanessa.

He called several times, but it went straight to voicemail.

"Dad, after I got kicked out, I waited by the door because I wanted to go home with her. But then I saw her get into a man's car. I was worried for her safety, so I tried to follow them, but they noticed me and sped off."

Giselle continued adding fuel to the fire. "They must be hiding something shady. Why else would they be so desperate to lose me?"

Elaine chimed in with a gentle voice.

A furious blush spread across Vanessa's cheeks. She bit her lip and muttered, "Jerk."

Grabbing her phone, she noticed several missed calls, all from her father.

Knowing she had to head to the office soon anyway, she decided not to call back just yet.

As she sat up, she noticed a clean, neatly folded dress resting at the foot of the bed, complete with a matching black lace bra and underwear.

A flicker of surprise crossed Vanessa's eyes.

The man might be ruthless in bed, but he actually had a considerate side.

Her fondness for him grew just a fraction.

Slipping the clothes on, she realized they were her exact measurements.

How on earth did he know her size?
