Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 46

"Nolan, when I was coming upstairs just now, I saw an incredibly rare beauty. I'm not sure which family she belongs to, but I don't think I've ever seen her in Sterling City before."

Nolan offered a cool warning. "You have a fiancée. Don't go messing around outside, or when you end up kneeling in your family's ancestral hall, I won't help you beg for mercy!"

"I wouldn't dare. It's just that she was being purposely bullied by her younger sister, who even tried to use me to kick her out." Caleb chuckled. "Thank God I'm an only child. I don't have to deal with all that backstabbing."

In wealthy families, siblings would do all sorts of dirty deeds to fight for opportunities and inheritance, even tearing each other apart to the death.

Right at that moment, a commotion erupted downstairs.

Caleb walked out of the booth and looked down at the main hall.

Nolan lit a cigarette and followed him out to watch the drama.

Resting one hand casually on the second-floor railing, he took a lazy glance and suddenly froze.

Well, well—

Wasn't that a familiar face?

He turned sideways and shot Alistair an arched brow. "Ace, it looks like your little kitten has run into some trouble."

Alistair's dark eyes narrowed slightly. Unhurriedly, he stood up, walked over to them, and looked down at the lobby, his gaze darkening.

The beauty stood gracefully amidst the noisy crowd, looking down indifferently at the woman who had collapsed on the floor in a dramatic mess.

"Giselle, if you're going to fake a fall, shouldn't you at least pick the right time and place?"

"Vanessa, you're just terrified that I'll beat you, so you intentionally tripped me to make a fool of me!" Giselle accused her angrily, her eyes completely red, looking as pitiful as could be.

Compared to Vanessa, who stood tall and watched her with cold detachment, Giselle's performance made Vanessa look excessively callous and aggressive.

Hearing the surrounding whispers, Giselle lowered her eyes, fighting desperately to suppress the victorious smirk pulling at her lips.

Three years had passed, and everyone in Sterling City could see how much she had sacrificed for the company. Who did Vanessa think she was, coming back here to fight her for the Vice President position?

Everyone had seen her hard work over the years!

Vanessa's expression remained perfectly cool, her almond eyes chilling. "Giselle, do you really want to drag this out until it blows up in your face? Your little stunt isn't just embarrassing you, it's humiliating the entire Grant family. If father finds out..."

"Vanessa, I know father favors you. No matter what happens, he'll always blindly take your side. I'm not fighting you, but I've poured my blood, sweat, and tears into the company for three years. Could you please just stop bullying me the second you come back?" Her eyes were red, looking frail and helpless.

Malcom helped Giselle up with an aching heart, angrily pointing a finger at Vanessa. "Vanessa, even back in college you were arrogant and domineering. After all these years, you haven't matured at all! Just how far are you willing to go to torture her?"

With the two of them playing off each other perfectly, it made Vanessa look completely cruel and petty.
