Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 160

Zachary chuckled, his gaze drifting lazily toward Leah.

"So, Miss Jenkins, what exactly can you do?"

Startled by the sudden attention, Leah instantly straightened her posture. "Mr. Rhodes, I'm a fast learner."

"Do you even know what the job entails? And you're just going to learn?" Zachary was genuinely amused by her naive foolishness.

Leah wrung her hands anxiously. "As long as it pays well, I'm willing to do anything..."

She had absolutely no choice. Her boyfriend, Shawn West, owed Zachary hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Since he was determined to pursue his graduate studies, she was the only one who could work off his crushing debt.

She clearly remembered Shawn dropping to his knees, weeping uncontrollably as he begged her. He promised that if she helped him out this time, he would marry her the moment he graduated and cherish her for the rest of his life.

For Shawn, she was willing to endure any absolute hell.

Zachary looked at her with mocking pity. "Remember, Miss Jenkins, you are doing this entirely voluntarily. I never forced you into anything."

"Yes."

He summoned the manager.

"Take her out back and get her familiarized with the ropes."

As soon as the door clicked shut behind her, Zachary lit a cigarette and remarked casually, "Idiots like her walk into Azure Club every single day."

Nolan raised an eyebrow. "What's her story?"

Leah wasn't breathtakingly beautiful, but she possessed a gentle, elegant charm that placed her well above average.

"Hopeless romantic. Her boyfriend blew hundreds of thousands of dollars gambling in my underground joint and offered her up as collateral. I have no idea what kind of nonsense he fed her, but she came in begging to work off his debt."

Vanessa frowned, suddenly remembering the girl from last time who had sold herself to pay for her grandmother's medical bills.

"What position are you throwing her into, Mr. Rhodes?"

"Rumor has it she contracted some bizarre illness earlier this year. They've been scouring the entire globe for Elias Quinton, praying his Celestial Needles can save her life. Given how rapidly her condition is deteriorating, if they don't find him soon, she won't survive till the end of the year."

Vanessa's hand froze around her glass, but she quickly took a casual sip, masking her reaction perfectly.

Elias Quinton? That name sounded incredibly familiar.

If he remembered correctly, Vanessa's grandfather had actually studied directly under Elias Quinton.

But Elias Quinton had passed away a decade ago.

Zachary chuckled loudly. "What exactly are these Celestial Needles? You're making it sound like pure myth, Nolan."

"I'm just repeating the gossip. Who knows if it's true." Nolan took a sip of his whiskey. "All I know is Samuel Jameson has been losing his absolute mind lately, tracking down every renowned doctor on earth with zero success."

"He'll never find him," Alistair noted in a slow, detached tone.

Nolan looked utterly perplexed. "Why not?"
