Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 142

Damn Giselle!

Was she completely out of her mind?

Vanessa had made it perfectly clear, yet Giselle hadn't absorbed a single word.

She immediately called Max Ames and explained the emergency.

Knowing the severity of the situation, Max agreed and hurried to the CEO's office to report to George Grant.

"That little fool!" George's face darkened, a sharp pain radiating through his chest. He ordered Max to track Giselle down while he pulled out his phone to call her.

The call connected.

"Dad? I'm busy. Whatever it is, it can wait until I get back to the office," Giselle said dismissively.

By this time, Giselle had already arrived at Victor Vance's suburban villa.

"Giselle, you've really outdone yourself! Stealing keys, breaking into offices, forging signatures, stealing the company stamp—do you have any idea you're breaking the law?"

"Is this how I raised you? How did the Grant family end up with someone so incredibly stupid and reckless!"

Giselle paled at the harsh reprimand, biting her lip as she fired back.

"Why are you yelling at me? You're just playing favorites! You always take Vanessa's side! You support everything she does, but no matter how hard I work, you never give me a single word of praise!"

"Vanessa was badmouthing me to you again, wasn't she? She's just terrified I'll succeed, outshine her, and take her place in the company!"

Victor gestured, and his subordinate immediately brought over a raw gemstone resting on a soft velvet cloth.

A small section of the stone had been cut away to reveal a flawless, vibrant emerald green beneath. The clarity was stunning, catching the eye with its breathtaking quality.

Giselle knew very little about gems, but the moment she saw that brilliant green, her breath hitched. Her heart hammered against her ribs, and her eyes sparkled with undisguised excitement.

"Don't just look at this one piece. This entire shipment comes from the exact same mining vein. If this piece yielded such flawless color and clarity, the rest will be just as impressive, if not better. Raw stones of this caliber are already sparking bidding wars out in the market."

Unable to suppress her smile, she lightly traced her fingers over the exposed green surface, her voice turning breathless.

"It really is a treasure."

As long as she brought this batch back to the company, everyone would look at her in a new light. They would never dare dismiss her again.
