Ivy watched Mr. Foster walk past her without saying a word.
So he really wasn't going to hold it against her for barging into his room earlier and seeing him naked?
Mr. Foster probably wasn't blaming her.
Thank goodness.
Ivy breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing that Summer had also left downstairs.
She carried the clothes down to wash them.
While washing the clothes, Ivy discovered there were actually Mr. Foster's boxers as well.
They were black.
The moment she held them in her hands, her face burned bright red, and her heartbeat quickened a few beats.
Ivy couldn't fathom what Mr. Foster looked like wearing nothing but these boxers, and she didn't dare think about it, afraid her body would have strange reactions if she dwelled on it.
She quickly washed them by hand.
Since her arm had been fractured before, hand-washing the clothes made it ache.
Her waist was also feeling uncomfortable.
By the time she finished washing all the clothes, Ivy was in so much pain she had no strength left, collapsing directly onto the sofa.
Just then, Alaric came down from upstairs.
He walked straight over to Ivy, looking down at her from above.
Seeing the fine beads of sweat on the girl's forehead and her pale face, he still cared enough to ask,
"What's wrong?"
Ivy instinctively sprang up, standing stiffly beside him, shaking her head.
"N-Nothing."
"If you're unwell, go lie down upstairs."
He was expressionless as he walked over and sat down beside Ivy, opening his laptop to start working.
How could Ivy possibly have the nerve to go lie in bed in the middle of the day?
She sat back down next to him and said in a low voice,
"I'm fine. I'll just sit here and study for my driver's license."
Alaric ignored her, leaning back against the sofa as he focused on his own tasks.
One moment he was making calls, the next he was reviewing documents.
He was incredibly busy, anyway.
Alaric finally looked up at her. "Do you not know my name?"
"Huh?"
Ivy was taken aback, then quickly shook her head. "N-No, I know your name."
Alaric Foster, right?
She had memorized it from the first day they got their marriage license.
It was just that he had told her not to let anyone know they were married, which was why she didn't dare address him casually.
The last time she had texted 'Darling' on WhatsApp, she still hadn't received a reply.
"Whatever."
Alaric lowered his head and went back to work.
The word 'whatever' left Ivy a bit bewildered.
What exactly did Mr. Foster mean?
He asked half a question without giving an answer, and just said whatever?
Did that mean any drink would do?
Assuming that must be it, Ivy hurried off to brew some coffee.
