Alaric Foster didn't say a word as he turned and headed upstairs.

Dr. Elena Sinclair smirked as she strutted over to Ivy Sawyer. "I can't believe you're still here."

She should have demanded that Alaric fire Ivy while she had the chance.

If it hadn't been for this woman, she might have already sealed the deal with him.

Ivy had ruined everything.

Ivy noticed Elena's cheek was red and swollen, as if she had just been slapped.

She looked back at Alaric's retreating figure.

She had no idea what was going on.

Her intentions were blatantly obvious, so there was no need to play the gentle, generous woman in front of Ivy.

Ivy didn't look at her, but if this woman had the nerve to spout all this in front of Mrs. Gable, she must have gotten some sort of approval from Mr. Foster.

Swallowing the suffocating wave of despair in her chest, Ivy took Stella's hand and led her upstairs.

Elena shot a cold glare at Mrs. Gable. "I haven't eaten yet. Go make me something."

Mrs. Gable was incredibly reluctant, but since the woman had come back with the boss, she decided to comply for now.

Ivy led Stella into the master bedroom, where she found Alaric sitting on the sofa with a somber expression.

She walked over quietly and asked, "Why did you bring her back? Didn't you say she was the one who drugged you that night?"

He had better give her a reasonable explanation.

Otherwise, she would know her place, pack her things, and leave on her own.
