Hearing the man behind her, Ivy felt a sharp prick in her chest.
Did Mr. Foster really think her initiation meant she wanted something from him?
But she hadn't wanted anything last night.
She had enjoyed it too, hadn't she?
She should be thanking Alaric for giving her such a wonderful, magical night.
With that in mind, Ivy composed herself. She dressed, got out of bed, and looked back at the man on the mattress with a desolate smile.
"I don't want anything. I'm just glad you're satisfied."
She turned and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.
Left behind, Alaric sat up, his handsome face unreadable.
His wife had been so eager last night—not because she needed a favor?
Just to satisfy him?
Alaric found it hard to believe she could be so considerate.
If she knew he had needs, why hadn't she fulfilled her wifely duties earlier?
She must have gotten into trouble again and needed him to clean up the mess.
Alaric grabbed his phone, intending to call his assistant to investigate, but Leo Archer called him first.
He answered.
On the other end, Leo spoke up.
"Boss, the young madam has gone viral online. Do you need me to arrange PR to handle it?"
Alaric's expression darkened. "What's the situation?" he asked in a low voice.
"I'll send you the content," Leo replied. "I don't think it's true, but I'm looking into the full story right now."
Alaric immediately opened the webpage Leo sent over.
