Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 839

Just as Sebastian Croix had said.

Too many coincidences meant it was no coincidence at all.

"I never expected to be raising a viper in my own home!" Dr. Evelyn Hayes was deeply intimidating when angered. The lifetime of authority the esteemed elder wielded in the Yves family was based on far more than just her age.

She glanced at Quentin Yves.

She noticed Quentin's expression was even worse than hers, his jaw clenched tight. It was clear he had reached his breaking point.

"Grandma, I know nothing I say right now matters, but this really had nothing to do with me. If Mr. Croix had actual proof, he wouldn't be relying on mere suspicions," Sierra Yves found her voice. She wept, looking wronged and utterly lost, her tears heartbreaking to witness.

"Right, so you figured it was done so quietly that there wouldn't be any evidence, didn't you?" Raelynn Ortiz suddenly spoke up.

Her voice was cold and laden with sarcasm.

Sierra tried to step forward, wanting to grab her hand. "Raelynn, you know how much I adore you. How could I ever do anything to hurt you? We're family."

"And what about the rumors about Raelynn at the university?" Sebastian interjected coldly.

His icy tone stopped Sierra dead in her tracks before she could reach Raelynn.

Stunned, her pupils contracted. "...I don't know."

Sebastian slowly stood up, closing the distance step by step until he blocked her from Raelynn. He stared down at her with a predatory gaze. "The moment you were transferred out of the research group, the university and the internet were flooded with Raelynn's so-called 'scandals.' It cost her a promotion, damaged her future, and ruined her reputation. Then her wedding gets destroyed. Is that all just a coincidence too?"

Sierra met his somber eyes.

She felt a shudder ripple through her very soul.

Unable to control herself, she stumbled backward with every word he dropped.

No one had expected this.

Even this incident was connected.

Dr. Hayes grabbed a teacup from the table and smashed it hard against the floor. With a frosty expression, she asked, "Mr. Croix, are you suspecting Sierra?"

Sebastian spoke with a smooth, unhurried cadence. "I simply have a habit of making meticulous deductions. Raelynn is new to Kingsford University. She's a national talent, someone the students look up to. Who would risk their own future to spread rumors about a woman completely unrelated to their own life? Unless there was a personal grudge. Right and wrong, Chairwoman Hayes, you can judge for yourself."

He didn't force anyone to believe him.

He merely planted the seed.

Yet it was exactly this measured restraint that magnified the suspicion and distrust in everyone's hearts, letting it spiral out of control.
