Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 825

"Don't touch me," Raelynn said, her cold gaze sweeping the room.

She dodged the hand Ian reached out toward her.

He stared at her, his lips pressed into a thin line.

Cordelia maintained her superficial smile as she strode onto the stage. "Apologies, everyone. Raelynn is just a bit nervous and wanted to come out early to greet you all."

She stopped right in front of Raelynn.

Dropping her voice to a harsh whisper, she warned, "Raelynn, whatever grievances you have, we can handle them privately. Give me some face. If nothing else, think about Ian. He has done right by you. He saved your life back then..."

"Heh," Raelynn scoffed lightly.

She turned her head. "That line again. I've swallowed my pride countless times because of that incident, Mrs. Hudson. But even the worst debts eventually get settled."

Cordelia's expression shifted drastically.

Raelynn stepped past her. The stark white of her wedding dress made her an unmissable target for the media and the onlookers.

For a fleeting moment.

In the sea of faces, her eyes locked onto a pair of deep, dark eyes.

Raelynn gritted her teeth and looked away.

Facing the massive crowd and the countless gazes fixed upon her, she enunciated every word clearly. "I'm sure you're all eager for a show, so I'll be blunt. I refuse to marry into this repulsive family. The only reason I'm standing here today is to publicly sever all ties with the Hudsons!"

Her voice was piercing and resolute.

The media swarmed forward like hyenas smelling blood.

"Raelynn!" Cordelia instantly realized she knew everything, her warm facade shattering into pure ice.

But Raelynn just laughed, a sound dripping with mockery. "The glamorous Hudson family you all revere is trying to bypass me—the biological mother—to trade my young daughter to the Croix family like a piece of merchandise. It's despicable. I want everyone here as a witness: if the Hudsons try to bypass the law and use underhanded tactics to help the Croixs steal my custody, I will sue them to the full extent of the law and expose their complete lack of morality!"

Gasp!

Sharp intakes of breath echoed across the hall.
