Zella Davenport saw Sebastian Croix, her eyes lingering on him for a moment before she walked straight past Derek Davenport and headed in his direction.
Sebastian's car pulling up had already drawn countless eyes.
Given the recent gossip swirling around the Croix and Hudson families, Sebastian's arrival sent a ripple of murmurs through the crowd.
Zella made a beeline for him. Ever since their prospective marriage fell apart, she hadn't interacted with him—not because she didn't want to try again.
It was simply because she knew Sebastian had utterly rejected her.
"Well, well, Mr. Croix. You're much more generous than I imagined, showing up to your ex-wife's wedding to offer your blessings."
Zella still harbored resentment toward Sebastian.
This man had never cared about saving her pride.
She had never been rejected in her entire life.
Now, aside from the lingering bitterness of her unrequited crush, she just wanted the satisfaction of seeing him take a hit.
Sebastian lowered his gaze, offering no response.
But Zella wasn't about to let him off the hook. She crossed her arms, stepping closer in her heels, and scoffed, "Are you here to offer genuine blessings, or are you heartbroken over what you can't have? I'm really curious, Mr. Croix. Enlighten me."
She was determined to twist the knife.
It was only fair. She refused to be the only one suffering.
This time, Sebastian lowered his eyes, his tone freezing. "Will you only back off if I give you an answer, Ms. Davenport? If so, I can give it to you right now."
His complete indifference, devoid of any anger at her provocation, made Zella feel like she was punching cotton. He looked like he could shut her down at any second, making her grit her teeth in frustration.
"Watch your mouth, Sebastian. Keep talking like that and you'll poison yourself."
Zella was furious.
"Then stay away from me. It's better for both of us."
Sebastian checked his watch, his gaze profound, lost in his own thoughts.

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
No, no, no! Sebastian needs to nip the Zella situation and win Raelynn back! Also, Leo, he is a wildcard for Sebastian's master plan... Sebastian- we know you know, what we know, win your family back!...
I thought now Sebastian and Raelynn will be together now that seraphina is not but you are not letting them to be. Two new female around Sebastian 😭...
I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
The croix family is evil...
