Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 710

She walked over and set the apple down.

Looking down at Sebastian, she said, "Let's talk outside."

Sebastian didn't refuse. As Raelynn turned to walk out first, he took his time. Like a magic trick, he pulled a small jar of candy from his pocket and placed it on Lily's table.

"A gift for you."

Lily couldn't help but smile.

But as she hugged the tiny glass jar, she looked at Sebastian's retreating back in confusion.

She loved that candy, and her mom loved it too. Did this man know that?

Raelynn walked to the end of the corridor and crossed her arms, watching Sebastian casually maneuver his wheelchair over. "You needed me for something?"

She honestly didn't want Sebastian interacting with Lily too much.

When dealing with a sharp man like him, she had to remain on high alert.

His fingers tapped against the yogurt bottle. "Accompany me to the Croix family estate."

"Me? Why?"

"Do you think my current state won't make the Chairman suspicious?" Sebastian stared at her. "How do you suggest I explain it?"

Raelynn immediately dropped her arms. "When?"

"Now," Sebastian said.

Raelynn didn't argue further.

After all, she didn't want the Croix family finding out the real reason for Sebastian's injuries either.

It would be a mess to explain and even harder to resolve.

She gave Chloe Hudson a call. Chloe was already on her way, so Raelynn asked her to look after Lily for a while.

As for whatever other reasons he had for dragging her along, she didn't bother asking.

Once in the car, Raelynn subtly observed Sebastian's condition. He looked terribly pale the entire time, likely due to blood loss. In that regard, the father and daughter were quite similar.

She harbored lingering doubts about whether Sebastian knew the truth.

After all, he probably knew about Lily's blood clotting disorder by now.

Yet he hadn't shown a single reaction.

Numerous gazes locked onto her and Sebastian—especially focusing on his injured state with intense scrutiny.

Sebastian, cold by nature, completely ignored them.

He offered zero explanations.

As they entered the massive reception hall.

Raelynn immediately spotted Cameron coming down the opposite staircase. He was beaming, looking as though he had just won the lottery.

But the moment his eyes landed on Sebastian in the wheelchair, his gaze froze. "Sebastian? What happened to you?"

Sebastian looked up indifferently.

Meeting that gaze, Cameron hesitated for a second. But remembering the inevitable outcome of today's meeting, a rush of vindictive pleasure washed over him. He couldn't suppress a smirk. "We're holding an internal family meeting today. It's time to announce your punishment for leaking company secrets. You showing up injured all of a sudden... surely you're not trying to play the victim?"

Raelynn deeply disliked Cameron.

She knew exactly what he was doing—kicking a man while he was down.

Plus, Cameron had crossed her plenty of times in the past. She shot him a glare. "If throwing a pity party could win you power, why don't you go bash your head against the boardroom wall every day?"

Cameron flared up in anger.
