Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 69

Sienna stepped forward, grabbed Celeste by the wrist, and shoved her with all her might straight into the liquor cabinet.

*Crash—*

The cabinet toppled over, sending countless bottles shattering to the floor as premium alcohol spilled everywhere.

Screams erupted from all sides.

Moving with lightning speed, Sienna swept her hand over the edge of the table, knocking over a lit aromatherapy candle.

A roaring blaze ignited instantly. The flames surged upward, swallowing half the room in seconds.

Amidst the chaos, Celeste struggled to crawl up from the floor, a vicious gleam in her eyes. It was obvious she wanted to get up and cause more sabotage to frame Sienna.

Sienna's heart clenched. She couldn't let Celeste escalate this further.

Catching sight of a solid wood chair by her feet, she didn't hesitate. She picked it up and hurled it straight at her.

*Boom—*

A wave of fire and searing heat rushed at her face. Sienna swiftly covered her face and stepped backward.

"Fire! Help!"

Frantic shouts echoed everywhere as guards and maids rushed madly into the room. It was absolute pandemonium.

She didn't stay to watch the aftermath, using the chaos to flee the estate.

As the freezing night air hit her lungs, she gasped for breath.

Her phone finally caught a signal.

With trembling hands, Sienna scrolled down to Maloney's number and hit call.

It rang for a long time before finally connecting. Maloney's sleep-heavy voice came through, clearly having just been startled awake in the dead of night.

"Hello?"

Sienna's heart tightened as reality hit her.

It was the middle of the night in Germany. She had woken him up.

Sienna took a deep breath, fighting to keep her voice steady.
