Beast World: From Villainess to Cub-Raising Chef novel Chapter 275

Chapter 275: Chapter 273: The First Beast Tide Outbreak

After absorbing all the power, Bai Su also took on the fatigue from her other two Clones. Utterly exhausted, she collapsed and fell into a dead faint.

Lu Tingyan kissed the corner of her forehead, his heart aching for her. He quickly finished himself with a few thrusts, then tended to the little rabbit, soothingly cleaning her up.

Suddenly, a loud POUND POUND POUND came from the door.

Li Chenlin’s disgruntled voice came from outside. "Lu Tingyan! Get out here!"

"What did you do to Susu? Why did she suddenly recall her Clones?"

There was even a hint of grievance in his demanding tone.

Lu Tingyan couldn’t be bothered to deal with him. He focused on giving the little rabbit a thorough massage before carrying her back to the bed.

Outside, Li Chenlin was still shouting up a storm when he was suddenly slapped from behind by Yelias, rendering him speechless with indignation. "???"

Yelias’s face was dark. "Stop shouting. You’re not the only one who was cut short."

Li Chenlin turned his head and saw that Yelias also wore the dead-eyed expression of someone deeply unsatisfied. "Then what did you hit me for? This has to be Lu Tingyan’s fault!"

Yelias said, "I doubt it. Something probably happened to Susu."

The words had barely left his mouth when the door opened.

When Lu Tingyan saw Yelias, he sighed in relief and stepped aside to let him in. "Quick, come take a look. What’s wrong with Susu?"

Yelias had already suspected something was wrong and rushed inside.

Bai Su had already reverted to her true form. A palm-sized little rabbit was curled up pitifully in the center of the large bed. You could barely even see the small bump she made if you weren’t looking closely.

The color drained from Li Chenlin’s face. "What happened to Susu?"

Lu Tingyan answered, "I’m not sure. It doesn’t look like she’s injured."

After a quick examination, Yelias sighed in relief. "Don’t worry. She’s about to level up."

Lu Tingyan and Li Chenlin couldn’t help their surprise. "Again?"

They had been shocked enough when Bai Su confessed that she had skipped levels, jumping straight from Level 8 to Level 10.

How long had it been since then?

And now she was leveling up again?

Yelias said, "I’m not sure how long she’ll be unconscious this time. To be safe, we shouldn’t disturb her at all."

The men nodded, their hearts aching as they gazed at the little rabbit on the bed.

If it hadn’t been for the impending first beast horde outbreak, Bai Su would never have indulged their nightly antics, sending out her Clones to satisfy all of them at once.

Suddenly, the earth began to tremble violently.

Terrified screams erupted from the crowd outside. "Help! The beast horde is here!"

"Aaaah!"

The screams were unending.

The men exchanged a look, their expressions turning grim.

Of all the times for the beast horde to break out, it had to be while Bai Su was unconscious and leveling up.

Bai Xiaolang and the others were also jolted from their sleep and ran out, on high alert.

Lu Tingyan quickly explained the situation to Bai Xiaolang. "Take the people from the Bounty Hunter Guild and guard the mansion’s perimeter. Don’t let any beasts or suspicious individuals get near this place. We’ll handle the horde outside."

Bai Xiaolang didn’t hesitate. He rapidly issued orders, rousing everyone and assembling them outside the mansion.

The people of Qin City were shaken by the same tremors.

In the dead of night, everyone who should have been asleep was jolted awake by the violent shaking of the ground.

The ferocious roars of beasts shook the heavens, their sheer power terrifying.

The unending chorus of roars alone was enough to make one’s blood run cold.

Yan Qingya reassured them, "Don’t worry. They don’t need our help out there. If we went out and weren’t strong enough, we’d just get in the way and force them to waste energy protecting us."

"This was Bai Su’s instruction as well," Bi Yue added.

Only then did everyone nod, huddling together in reassurance, praying for the safe return of the males fighting outside.

Faint tremors from the surface reached them, along with the sounds of gunfire and the roars of the beasts.

On the wall, swarms of flying beasts charged madly at the Barrier, attempting to smash through it with brute physical force.

The soldiers’ bullets streaked through the air, burning like sparks at high velocity. In the dark night, they were like meteors, exploding amidst the dense horde.

But there were simply too many of them, and the Barrier soon began to fail.

Lu Tingyan’s expression was grim. He immediately entered his Full Beastification State, then leaped from the wall with a squad of soldiers to engage the beasts in close combat.

Li Chenlin and Wen Lan followed right after him.

Yelias rapidly wove a web, forming a dense grid over the entire Imperial City. It ensnared the beasts trying to break through, then used the silk’s elasticity to fling them back.

But they were too few, and the beasts were too numerous. It was impossible to kill them all.

The beasts threw themselves suicidally at the soldiers’ guns, their bodies alone enough to block the hail of bullets.

The pile of corpses at the base of the wall grew ever higher, creating a perfect ramp for the ground-based beasts to climb into the city.

A colossal tiger, nearly the size of three cars combined, leaped and pounced, landing directly on top of the wall.

The soldiers’ eyes widened in shock before they quickly focused their fire on the tiger, unleashing a frantic barrage.

Fortunately, they were all elite soldiers trained under Lu Tingyan. Their marksmanship was impeccable, and they all concentrated their fire on the creature’s eyes.

It was the fastest way to neutralize its combat ability.

Outside the city, Lu Tingyan activated Tearing Space. Empowered by the Beast God Crystal Stone, the spatial rift opened a massive maw nearly thirty meters wide, swallowing entire swaths of beasts.
