Chapter 272: Chapter 270: Driving the Inferior Males Out of the City

"Miss Qin Nuo is so understanding!"

"Yeah, you rarely see females who are so considerate of males these days."

"What else would you expect from the savior chosen by the Beast God?"

Hearing the crowd’s praise, Qin Nuo stood even straighter, her expression growing more solemn and imposing. "If you continue to be so petty and disregard the bigger picture, then you will be confined to your homes for a week! You are forbidden from coming out!"

Another cheer erupted from the crowd. "Yes!"

"Well said!"

"Brilliant! It’s about time these pampered females were forced to face reality!"

"The soldiers work themselves to the bone every single day for their safety, and what do they do? They act like princesses at home, and when they go out, they’ve got a bad case of ’princess syndrome.’ They have no clue about the current situation."

The two females wore looks of disbelief.

There were a few other females in the crowd who had originally been on their side.

But after Qin Nuo took the lead with her "justice," these other females quickly changed their tune, joining the rest in condemning the two of them.

It was as if they had committed some terrible crime.

And yet, they were the ones who had been cut in line. They were the ones who had been humiliated by the soldiers’ stares and verbally abused as "useless." And in the end, they were the ones whose food was stolen.

How did it end with them being the ones who had to apologize?

The two exchanged a glance, both momentarily bewildered.

’Were we really being too petty? Were we ignoring the big picture?’

Just then, Qin Nuo stepped forward again with a calm and unhurried air. She adopted an earnest expression and began to lecture the two. "I’m not trying to blame you, but you need to get your heads on straight."

"Are the males obligated to protect us? No."

"But they still hold the front lines, using their bodies and spiritual power to protect all of us."

"So, as the beneficiaries, shouldn’t we be a little more generous and tolerant toward them?"

"Everything is a two-way street. They are protecting us with their lives. Can’t we females inside the city at least manage to care for them and cherish them?"

"It’s just one meal. Is it so hard for you to eat an hour later and let the soldiers who have worked hard all day have your food first?"

She looked out at the crowd again, feeling euphoric from the looks of awe and admiration directed at her.

She addressed the crowd magnanimously, "Only when our citizens support, cherish, and respect the soldiers to the greatest extent can we be worthy of them protecting us with their lives, isn’t that right?"

"Taking this opportunity, I also call on all females who have entered the city to lower your stance. We are no longer the high-and-mighty females of the past. They are our heroes and deserve our respect!"

The crowd burst into roaring applause.

The two females, successfully brainwashed, lowered their heads in shame.

They apologized to the soldiers.

The soldiers exchanged glances, a covetous and malicious appraisal of the two females hidden in the depths of their eyes.

After the crowd dispersed, the two females returned home, the events on the street replaying endlessly in their minds.

Suddenly, one of them shot up. "Wait, that’s not right."

"We handed over all our possessions as a protection fee. Shouldn’t they be protecting us?"

"Besides... even if we females weren’t here, wouldn’t they have to protect themselves anyway?"

"How did we end up taking the blame for everything?"

Bai Su was livestreaming as usual, having her assistant set up the camera while she organized the workers.

Yan Qingya found it strange. "Susu, we’re earning so much money now, but it’s useless. Why do you still livestream every day?"

A small smile played on Bai Su’s lips. "Don’t worry, you’ll find out soon enough."

She had her assistant take the camera to stream from around the city, mostly capturing the daily lives of the people, their work, the construction of various things, and so on.

The people of Snow Country were in no mood to watch livestreams at the moment. Most of the viewers were from the rival Qin City, there to watch the spectacle.

[LMAO, they’re still streaming? Aren’t they afraid of making a fool of themselves?]

[Honest question, are they afraid we’ll actually go join them, so they’re showing us how miserable their lives are?]

[If you hadn’t told me, I’d think everyone on the street was a zombie. Why is everyone so listless and grim?]

[Oh, I get it now. They’re begging us for money. Seeing as you’re so pathetic, I guess I can force myself to donate a few bucks.]

[LMAOOOOO, I know it’s messed up, but seeing them so miserable feels so good.]

"We’re protecting you with our lives, so can’t you cherish us a little?"

"It’s just a few pounds of worthless produce. What’s wrong with us taking some to eat in advance? Aren’t we saving you the trouble?"

Bai Su was so angry she laughed. ’Where the hell did this idiotic argument come from?’

She scanned the brain-dead morons. "You protect us with your lives? If there were no females in this city, would you not have to protect yourselves? And somehow that gets twisted into you protecting *us*? You’re so good at shifting blame, you should make a career out of it."

"If the females weren’t handling logistics, where would your three meals a day come from? Where would your food, clothes, and supplies come from?"

"Without females doing the logistics, you’d have to spend your own time on it. Would you have enough time and energy to build walls and defenses then?"

"What kind of fucking bullshit is this? Your contribution is a contribution, but theirs is not?"

The males were rendered speechless by her tirade.

’How is this so different from what we imagined?’

The men stammered for a long time before finally pinning the blame on Bai Su.

They muttered under their breath, "No wonder they say Miss Qin is the savior. Her way of thinking is so much more enlightened than yours."

Bai Su wasn’t about to indulge these entitled pricks. "Kong Ji, have these troublemakers thrown out of the city."

The men’s faces changed drastically. "On what grounds? We were born and raised here! What right do you have to kick us out?"

Bai Su replied, "On the grounds that you useless wastes of space can’t beat me in a fight."

She lifted her chin and added to Kong Ji, "Don’t let them take any food or weapons from the city. They can only take their own clothes. Snow Country has no need for such arrogant and incompetent trash."

The females instantly felt vindicated.

’That’s right!’

’Acting like they’re the only ones making sacrifices.’

The males were dragged away by soldiers.

Seeing that Bai Su was serious, they were filled with regret. "Duke, Duke, we were wrong!"

"Don’t kick us out! It’s full of savage beasts out there, we’ll die!"

"Even if you’re going to kick us out, at least send us to Qin City!"
