Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever novel Chapter 591

Chapter 591: Chapter 591 – So how did you meet my daughter?

Seraphine did not mind wasting a little money for important information. The cost of the truth was trivial compared to the weight of the questions pressing down on her.

She said seriously, her voice carrying the finality of a business deal, "Fine, I’ll let everything go, and I’ll give you ten million dollars. You just have to answer every question truthfully."

Another yawn escaped her, her jaw cracking with the effort. The exhaustion was catching up with her, pulling at her eyelids, making her limbs feel heavy and uncooperative.

But Coco had a plan of her own, her eyes gleaming with naked avarice. "Make it twenty."

Seraphine did not have the energy to argue. The thought of haggling felt like climbing a mountain, and she simply didn’t have the strength left in her. She agreed to it with a weary nod. "Fine, twenty million it is. So what happened with Voren?"

"Money first," Coco insisted, her hand outstretched, fingers twitching with impatience.

Seraphine sighed and brought out her phone from her jean pocket, the movement slow and deliberate from sheer exhaustion.

Coco’s brows shot up in surprise as Seraphine quickly made the transfer, her fingers moving across the screen with practiced efficiency. The notification chimed, confirming the transaction.

As soon as she got it, Coco transferred the money into another account with hurried, furtive movements, her eyes darting to Seraphine as if expecting her to snatch the phone away.

Then she pulled a chair and sat in front of Seraphine, settling in like she had all the time in the world.

"I have transferred the money into another account in case you try to reverse it." A smug smile played at the corners of her mouth.

Seraphine’s lips twitched, a ghost of amusement flickering across her tired features. If she wanted to reverse that money, she could still do it no matter where Coco transferred it. Banks had their ways, and so did she. "Smart move," she conceded, leaning back in her chair. "So go ahead."

"Wait," Coco said, rising from her seat and moving toward the bed. She leaned over the unconscious gigolo and rubbed her hands over his face in a slow, careful motion. The gesture was strange, almost ritualistic, and Seraphine watched with narrowed eyes.

"What’s that for?" Confusion laced her voice, her brow furrowing.

"To make sure he doesn’t wake up any time soon." Coco straightened, brushing her hands together as if removing dust. "But truth be told, I want Voren." She stated her claim with blunt finality, her eyes meeting Seraphine’s without flinching.

Seraphine smiled, but it was a brittle thing, sharp and cold, quickly replaced by sternness that hardened her entire expression. "Coco, Voren is my husband, and I can assure you that you will never have him." Her voice carried absolute conviction, unwavering steel beneath the fatigue. "The earlier you move on, the better for you."

Coco’s fingers balled into tight fists at her sides, her knuckles whitening. If only she had played by her mother’s rules, then Voren would have still been hers. The thought burned in her chest like acid, corroding her from the inside.

"Fine," she relented, though her eyes still held that dangerous gleam, already thinking of other means to have Voren. Other ways to manipulate, other spells to cast. "We used a sample of his hair to create those memories in his mind."
