Raphael… he trusted her this much.
Aria forced herself to clear her thoughts and focus.
The man had slit his wrist, but thankfully, as a long-term patient, he had a PICC line in his arm, which could be used for immediate access.
Aria took a needle, quickly scanned the emergency medications Raphael had brought, and inserted several needles into the man.
At the same time, she assessed his condition and called out which drugs to use.
She and Raphael worked in perfect sync.
Aria used the needles to help stop the bleeding while Raphael quickly administered emergency drugs to maintain his vital signs.
But the main reason for his unconsciousness was insufficient blood supply, a problem that medication alone couldn't solve immediately.
Aria could only pray for the ambulance to arrive quickly.
After all the needles were inserted, Aria kept her fingers on his pulse. The pressure dressing and their treatment were working.
For now, his vital signs had stabilized.
And the ambulance arrived just in time.
Several paramedics rushed over with a stretcher, their expressions momentarily stunned when they saw the emergency drug vials on the ground.
“I have a medical license. We were the ones who called it in. We performed basic treatment on the patient, and his vitals are temporarily stable.”
As the team lifted the patient onto the stretcher, Aria explained the medications she had used while climbing into the ambulance with them.
“We don’t know him. We were just here to visit a friend’s grave when we found him.”
The paramedics’ expressions became even more complicated.
These days, it was rare to find someone willing to get involved with such a complicated case.
“You and your boyfriend can’t leave. Since you administered first aid, procedure requires you to wait for the police to take a statement.”
Aria nodded. “I understand. But there’s only room for one more person in this ambulance. I’ll go with you to the hospital. Saving him comes first, we can talk later.”
Raphael had no objections.
“You saved a life. That’s incredible!”
Aria smiled faintly. “We couldn’t just stand by and watch someone die.”
When they arrived at the hospital, several nurses and doctors were already waiting outside to take over.
The major hospital was incredibly efficient. Within three minutes, the patient was moved into a room.
“Once the transfusion starts, I’ll remove the needles. His condition should improve then.”
The nurse nodded eagerly. “Okay!”
She now had complete trust in Aria.
After the red blood cells were brought back, the nurse quickly hung the blood bag. Aria immediately began removing the needles.
At the same time, a nurse who was closely watching the ECG monitor gasped.
With every needle Aria removed, the patient’s heart rate changed noticeably, and his blood pressure, measured every minute, began to drop.
