Chapter 903
Third Person’s POV
He stroked the soft mane of the horse beneath him, praising it silently in his heart:

This horse looked old and worn out, yet its speed was unexpectedly fast. It had carried him all the way from the Shadow Mountains to Silver Valley County, the closest place to the capital, without needing to stop for rest or to graze even once.
If he continued forward for a little over an hour, he estimated he would reach the downtown area of Silver Valley County.
The little tune Arista hummed became even more cheerful.
The capital was bustling and lively, filled with countless aged wines. He could also visit Adelaide and freeload off the Black Thorn Wolf Pack for a while. Just thinking about such days filled him with immense joy.
Arista had no intention of staying at a hotel in the city. He planned to camp in a comfortable, sheltered spot somewhere in the outskirts of Silver Valley County.
He casually unfolded the tent he carried with him, tied the horse to a tree trunk, lit a handful of mosquito–repelling herbs, opened his flask, sprawled out on the grass, crossed his legs with abandon, and tilted his head back to gulp down a large mouthful from the flask.
The taste of vodka was as intense as ever–fiery on the tongue, cold and sharp as a blade slicing down his throat.
In a daze, he seemed to hear the sound of urgent hoofbeats by his ear.
No, it was not just a single horse, but the heavy, synchronized hoofbeats of many.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, peering down from the thicket on the hillside.
His wolf eyes were different from other werewolves–one was golden, the other deep blue. Even in the darkness, he could see things about 500 yards ahead.
He let out a curious ‘hmm.‘
Silver Valley County was not far ahead. Why were these people in such a hurry, coming out to set up camp in the wild so late at night?
Moreover, this convoy was extremely luxurious. The carriages were inlaid with gilded trim and

intricate patterns, definitely belonging to the nobility from the capital. There might even be an alpha from one of the wolf packs inside.
Wolves like that were used to a life of luxury–why would they choose to camp in the wild?
Even stranger, the group suddenly stopped in a small grove by the roadside.
They did not prepare to rest. In the darkness, they waited quietly for something.
Who could they be waiting for, in the middle of the night, out here in the wilderness?
Arista continued to observe intently for a while, growing even more surprised.
This was a sizable regular army!
By his estimate, there were dozens of wolf soldiers, all moving with swift, practiced efficiency and a certain ruthless discipline.
He was almost certain these people came from a prominent wolf pack in the capital, and their actions were highly suspicious.
A sly grin appeared on Arista’s face. This was bound to be an interesting night.
He quickly packed up his flask and tent, nestled into a hollow in the hillside, concealed in the shadows of the trees, and continued to watch.
The group of werewolves stopped where they were and swiftly set up a single, luxurious large
tent.
This was very odd. They clearly had dozens of people, yet only set up one tent? What about the rest?
Arista sipped his fine liquor, watching the group like an owl hidden in the dark, coldly observing their every move.
